12. BBBRRREEEAAAKKKFFFAAASSSTTT with 4/5 of One Direction

Ally’s POV

My entire body felt cold; like I’d just be thrown into the cold, unforgiving sea and left to drown. I was freezing.

I shivered slightly as I crouched down low on the road. Or was it a pavement?

I hugged my knees to my body, trying to conserve whatever body heat I could.

Where was the bloody heater? Or even the bright sun?

All I was wearing was a dirty half-torn Stella McCartney top with mini shorts that did nothing to help with the cold enveloping me and threatening to pull me into a deep case of hypothermia.

My teeth were chattering non-stop as I stood there.

Suddenly, the dark alleyway/street or wherever I was at brightened as light hit me, blinding me.

I heard screams and shouting as I sat there, trying to adjust to the bright light.

It finally did and I took in the scene.

I wasn’t where I had thought I was.

I wasn’t in an abandoned street or alley. Quite the opposite and far from abandoned.

I was on a stage, facing a crowd of people.

I stared at them as they continued to shout words at me.

“You don’t deserve him,” I heard someone yell at the top of her lungs.

What was she talking about?

“Get a life, home wrecker!!!” another person shouted.

“He’s too good for you.”

The screams and insults kept coming like cold during a snowstorm. Unyielding and vengeful.

“You’re so ugly,” a girl insulted.

What was going on? Why am I here? I wanted to ask, but nothing came out of my mouth. I couldn’t speak.

I heard a musical laughter coming from behind me.

I turned around but couldn’t see anyone or anything. Everything was dark behind me.

The laughter echoed again, even louder as it burned my ears with its ridiculing.

Who’s there? I wanted to ask.

Suddenly a figure appeared, emerging from the darkness.

I gulped as I recognized her.

She was after all, someone you couldn’t forget.

“You heard them,” she hissed through her perfect lips, glaring at me, “You don’t deserve him.”

Who? The words weren’t voiced but she smirked at me, knowing what I had wanted to say.

“Harry,” she replied wickedly, “You don’t deserve him.”

“WAKE UP!” I heard a different voice echo within the theatre, “WAKE UP ALLY.”

I gasped as I escaped the nightmare.

Looking around, I nearly screamed out in terror, not recognizing my surroundings.

“Arggh,” I shouted.

“Alisha!” I heard a husky voice call out.

I turned around, saw Liam and the events of last night dawned on me.

“Alisha?” Liam said, “Calm down.”

“Oh shit,” I muttered, blushing, “Sorry Liam.”

“It’s alright.”

I looked around. I was still in the lad’s room, having been knocked out after watching Skyfall on their couch last night.

“Are you alright?” Liam asked as he placed his warm, large hand over mine in a comforting gesture, but still my face heated up like fireworks on the 4th of July.

I just nodded as I dwelled on the nightmare.

I had definitely recognized the girl at the end.

After all, I had bought all of her four albums.

With her blonde curls cascading down, framing her prefect face, with deep blue eyes, Taylor swift had an unforgettable face and moreover, a musical voice.

I shivered, remembering the words she had threw at me.

What was she even talking about?

I had no interest in Harry, in that way at least.

“Is she alright, mate?” another worried, yet husky voice asked, shaking me out of my thoughts.

“Yeah,” Liam said.

I turned around to see who had entered the room.

There stood Harry and Niall, brows creased over with worry.

“Uh…hey guys,” I muttered, feebly, “Sorry, I slept over last night.”

“Nah,” Niall shook his head, smiling at me, “It’s alright.”

“Uh…yeah,” Harry slowly agreed, “It was alright.”

“Breakfast’s ready lads,” Louis poked his head out of the kitchen, smiling, “Oh…and ladies.”

“BBRREEEAAAKKKFFAAASST!!!!” Niall screamed with joy as he rushed towards the kitchen.

“Erm…” Louis cleared his throat, glaring at Niall.

“Oh,” Niall uttered, “Excuse me, Ms. Ally, breakfast is served.”

He walked over, stopped in front of me, bowed then held out his hand to me.

I smiled at his sudden change in behaviour.

“Why thank you Mr. Horan,” I said as I took his hand and headed over to the dining room with Niall.

“Uh…” I was speechless as I stared at the table.

Louis had made waffles, pancakes, bacon and eggs, toast, and a pitcher of fruit juice. Along with some assorted jam and spreads.

“Uh…Lou,” I said, “You…you made this?”

“Of course I did babe,” he answered, playfully glaring at me, as if the very question was offending.

“Oh.”

“’Kay lads,” he turned to the others then me, “and Ally…DIG IN.”

“Where’s Zayn?” Harry asked, just as I was beginning to wonder about the same thing.

“Oh, he went over to Perrie’s,” Liam replied

“What’s the time?” I asked.

I knew I was forgetting something. I had to do something this morning.

“It’s…uh,” Liam checked his Rolex watch, “Oh…8:26. Why?”

“Nothing,” I replied, “I just… I think I have to be somewhere soon.”

I couldn’t quite shake the feeling.

“Have some breakfast,” Louis insisted, pulling out a chair and practically shoving me into it, “And then we’ll figure it out later.”

“Fine,” I muttered as I grabbed a waffle and stuffed it into my mouth.

What was it? What was I forgetting?

Think Ally, think…

Of course I couldn’t very well think because of the noise the guys were making.

Niall was stuffing his face with food one after another, noisily.

Louis and Harry were having a Larry Stylinson moment, and discussing (quite loudly, I might add) how to break it to Eleanor and Taylor that they were in love with each other.

While Liam, was streaming through their schedule for the day on his Android.

It was quite liberating and great hanging out with them.

They cared for each other and just being around them made e feel warm and fuzzy.

Something I didn’t get from my mother.

“Have some pancakes Ally,” Niall insisted as he handed me two pancakes skewered on a fork.

I took it, thanked him as I smiled.

I wasn’t really that hungry, but I didn’t want to offend the Irish boy by refusing him.

“Here,” he glazed my stack of pancakes with some syrup.

I had a feeling that we were going to be best buds.

“Oh we have nothing big today, lads,” Liam commented as he placed his Android on the table top and dug into his waffles.

“What do we have then?” Louis asked, then lifted his glass filled with juice and downed it one gulp.

“Just an appearance at Hollister at 10.”

“Great,” Louis said, “So, up for being our tour guide for today love?” he asked me.

“Uh… I don’t know,” I replied, “I can’t shake the feeling…”

“That you have to be somewhere?” Harry suggested.

I eyed him as he studied me.

My face heated up, remembering Taylor’s accusation, “uh…yeah,” I replied.

Just as the last word left my moth, my phone played ‘She’s So Mean’ by Matchbox Twenty.

I tensed as I dropped my fork.

I knew who was calling.

Mom. I had specifically set that song for her.

I reached for my phone in my pocket, only to find it not there.

“Where’s my phone?” I asked the boys.

“Oh right,” Harry muttered, “Let me get it,” he added, then got out of his chair and went off to retrieve y phone.

Just before I had the chance to wonder out loud, why he had my phone, he returned, handed it back.

“Thanks,” I muttered, then answered the phone.

“Uh…hello?” I answered.

I tensed, waiting for my mom to start yelling her head off.

“Alisha,” she growled, “Where the hell are you?”

I didn’t hesitate. “At a friend’s place,” I replied.

At this, Louis does a fist pump in the air and yells, “Woo hoo,” then high fives Niall hard. For which the blonde shouted, “Ow!” like he did in ‘Heart Attack’.

I cover the receiver, preventing her from hearing their childish, yet amusing outbursts.

I playfully glared at him, “Seriously Lou? Shh!” I shushed him.

“Sorry Ally,” he apologized but continued to smirk at me.

“Uh…yeah mom?” I breathed out, removing my hand from the receiver.

“What do you think you’re doing there?” she demanded.

“Uh…” What should I say? “Hanging,” I said into the receiver.

“Do you remember where you should be?” she yelled at me so loud that I had to pull away from my iPhone or risk total hearing loss.

Louis laughed.

“No,” I said truthfully, “I uh…..forgot.”

“Stop lying Ally.”

“I’m not mom.”

“How could you forget you’re leaving for Britain today?” she yelled, “Or was supposed to anyway.”

Oh shit! Realisation dawned on me.

“That was….uh…today?”

“Yes Alisha.”

“Mom,” I paused, “I forgot about it.”

“Whatever,” she grunted, “get here now and you’ll be leaving for England on the morning flight on Saturday. At least then you’ll have all your…affairs in order.”

“You’re still sending me?”

I’d totally thought she’d brush off this insane idea after me missing today’s flight.

I’d hoped she would have seen it as a sign that I shouldn’t go to England.

“Yes Alisha. You’re still going.”

“It’s Ally,” I said, out of habit.

“Get home within the next hour and you’ll be under house arrest until your flight.”

“What?” I yelled.

But then she hung up abruptly.

“Uh…Ally?” Liam called out, “Is everything okay?”

I shook my head.

“What happened love?” Niall asked.

I just stared at my plate now filled with eggs, bacon and waffles.

Niall must’ve stuffed it there while I was busy with mom.

“Are you okay babe?” Louis asked.

I laughed uncontrollably.

“Uh…Ally?” Harry muttered.

They must’ve been worried that I’d gone mad.

“I…I,” I started, “I missed my morning flight.”

They stared t me, confused.

“Flight?” Louis asked.

“You were supposed to go somewhere?”  Liam asked.

I nodded, “That’s what had forgotten.”

I got up abruptly, “Thanks for the brunch guys. I have to run.”

“Now?” Harry asked.

“Yeah.”

“Where were you supposed to go?”

“London.”

“For how long?” Liam asked.

“I don’t know,” I replied.

“But ya missed ya flight.”

“Hahaha. Like I can’t get another one. I’m laving Saturday.”

“We’re heading back home on Thursday. Why don’t we head back together?” Louis offered.

I shook my head, “My mom won’t be sold on the idea.”

“Oh.”

“Well…uh…thanks,” I said as I headed to the door.

“Hey. Let’s hang in London when we get there,” Niall said.

I thought over it.

I really had enjoyed hanging out with them. And besides, I didn’t really know London that much, so I definitely needed a tour guide.

“Uh…yeah sure,” I agreed, “Let’s hang.”

“Well then… we’ll let you know the deats,” Liam said.

“Oh-Kay,” I muttered, “Thanks and goodbye.”

“See ya soon.”
