Boys, Boys, Boys

Cynthia, Holly, and Vannessa. Best friends forever, no matter what, but then... High School.

CYNTHIA: Self-image problems. Abused. Mom lives in a different city. So of course, the first guy who tells her she's pretty, or the first guy who asks her out, she can't say no. But what happens when she gets so caught up, she becomes known as the new school whore...

HOLLY: Small, short, adorable. The three words that she was called on a daily basis. But was that what she wanted? No one thought this nice, small girl could ever be involved with such a rude ass boy, like him...

VANNESSA: New school, new town, new people, and of course, new friends. So, the first group that offers her a spot, she takes it. Was it the right choice? Especially when the boys of that group, get a little too close for comfort...

Will these boys take control over their friendships and lives? Or will they stick together through it all?

*Beeeeeep* "Hurry up!" I shouted while honking the horn.

I sat in the car waiting for my dad to get the keys. Today was my first day of high school and I was suppose to be meeting Holly in front of the flag pole to walk to first period together. But at the this rate I was going to be late, as always. Last year in eighth grade I was late so often teachers already had me marked tardy, whatever. Wasn't my fault. It was my dad's. He's the one who drinks every night and is all hungover every morning. So now here I am sitting in the car waiting for him to find the keys, on my first day of high-school.

*Bleeeeep* It was a text from Holly.

-On ur way yet?

-Nope. waiting for my dad 2 find the keys.

-Well hurry! im here all alone!

- K. ill try. see u in 10.

I put my phone back in my pocket, and flipped open the visor mirror to check my make-up one more time. Shit. My eyeliner had gotten ruined. I took my make-up bag from out my back pack to do some touch ups. I reapplied even more to my bottom lid and my top, just to make sure. And I put another layer of mascara and foundation. 'Can never have to much makeup' I thought to myself. Especially me. My two best friends, Vanessa and holly don't have to wear any make-up, well because there gorgeous. Me on the other hand, well that's a different story. I just so happened to inherit my dad's bushy eyebrows, so of course I need to pluck those babies. And my mom has tons of freckles, so being a Mexican with brown freckles on my face, doesn't mix well. I looked at the time 8:14. First period started exactly in 11 minutes, and here I am 10 minutes away from school still sitting in the driveway, in the car.

*Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep* "CAN YOU HURRY UP PLEASE!?" God. A second later my dad appeared  He was still wearing his robe, and slippers. His eyes were blood shot and we was swaying and running into things. He had a cigarette in his hand, and he was mumbling things in Spanish.  When he got in the car a strong aroma of alcohol came in with him. He was drunk.

"Um do you really think you can drive to school like that?"

"I-i--i--i  know i-i-i-i caaaan!!!" he mumbled in a slurred voice.

"Dad. You're drunk."

"NOOO! I AM?!"

I Just sat there staring at him in disbelief. Wow. He was already drunk and it was eight in the morning. This was embarrassing. Normal kids would be at school right now. Normal kids wouldn't have parents drunk at eight in the morning. No. He's not driving me to school like this. I grabbed my back pack and opened the door.

"Heeey, whee-r-e you g-o-ingg?!"

"Leaving. Walking to school. I refuse to let you drive me if you're that drunk." I was saying this while walking away.

"FINE! buuuut-ttt don't expect me to PICK YOU UP!"

I just ignored him as I kept walking. When I looked back he was still sitting in the car laughing to himself. I thought about my sister, Veronica, who lives with her boyfriend. I should just go live with them. At least she'll be more of a parent to me than my own dad. My sister dropped out her senior year in High school because she got pregnant and my dad kicked her out. She ended getting an abortion though, because she wouldn't have been able to take care of the baby. So now a year later, she's only eighteen, and she lives with her boyfriend across town. She barley comes and visits me. We use to be so close before our parents split. My mom lives 9 hours away, and I barely talk to her now, since she left us when my sister got pregnant.

"Aye Cynthia!" My thoughts were interrupted by a boy shouting my name. It was my friend Issac. We use to have a thing together, but then he got a girlfriend, and we stopped talking.

"Oh hey, whats up?"

"You walking to school?"

"Yeah. My dad was too drunk to drive me so, now I'm walking. What bout you, shouldn't you be heading to school?" He was sitting on his driveway drinking a coke.

"Yeah. But school's gay. I don't care if it's da first day I'm not going. My mom already left for work, and she thinks I left for school, but I ain't going, so I'm sitting here on my Driveway, cause I got no key."

"Oh. Well I have to go because my friend is waiting for me. Which she probably already went to class."

"Weeeell, you should just skip with me. We can hang out."

"But its the first day, and we'll get in trouble."

"Haha. Cynthia since when do you care bout gettin in trouble? Where's the Cynthia from last year who didn't give a shit if she was late everyday man?"

"Well, she's still here, it's just it's the first day of high school, and i don't want to miss it."

"Oh come on" He got up and started walking towards me. "You know you'd much rather skip and hang wit me den go to school, and just sign first day papers all day right?" He started stroking my face, and playing with my hair. "Its only da first day girl. What's the worse they can do? Come on, just skip wit me." He grabbed my waist and pulled me in closer. His breath smelled like peppermint, and his cologne was just to die for.

"Uumm, weeell, I guess I can just...skip for today..If that will make you happy."

"It will." He started sliding his hands down my back, and to my butt. He rested his hands on my butt, and pulled me in for a hug. I know I should've pulled away. But I liked it. It was nice to know that a boy actually wanted me like this. Who am I kidding I much rather hang out with Issac, then go to school and see Holly, any day...
