The drive to Charlotte wasn't so bad. It was pretty much interstate all the way. I got off an exit after about an hour and a half of driving to fuel up and grab a bite to eat. I took $40 of the $500 I had saved and filled up my car. I got $10 and pulled around to the local Taco Bell to grab a quick taco.

I pulled out of the drive-thru with my food and parked in a space near a few trees. Where it was mid July, the heat was unbearable at times, so my air conditioner had to stay on the whole time. After resting a few minutes, I decided to check my Facebook. I scrolled down my feed to see if anything new had happened since I last logged in. Nothing seemed to catch my eye, so I updated my status to "Off to see 1D! :) xx" and logged out. I called mom to tell her where exactly I was, and I was on my way again.

Traffic was light until I neared the hotel I had rented for the trip. I sat at a redlight for 10 minutes before I could even turn into the hotel, which wasn't but a rock-throw away. Definately not in Virginia anymore. I whipped my little cavalier into a parking space a mile away from the hotel. North Carolina must be a busy place, I thought. I started stacking all my bags onto my arms and locked up my car.

I finally reached the hotel at around 2:30. Swarms of people crowded around the lobby, making my journey to my room practically impossible. I lugged my bags over to the elevators as quickly as I could. From the looks of it, they were all being used. Just as I made the realization, I caught glimpse of one slowly closing.

        "Hey! Hold that elevator!"

I jogged over to the sliding silver doors, when an arm shot out to keep them from closing. Whoever this person was, he/she was my savior. I grabbed my bags before they could topple over and climbed into the elevator.

"Thank you so much! You have no idea how long I've been waiting on one of these. I can't even begin to thank you enou..."

I trailed off after looking up at my new helpful friend. Zayn Malik stared back at me, his smile in the cutest smirk my eyes have ever had the pleasure of seeing.

"Woah..." was all I could spit out.

        "You're welcome, love." He grinned.

I just stood there, my eyes the size of watermelons.

"That's a lot of bags, huh?" He nodded to my Mount Everest sized luggage pile. "Need a hand?"

"Sure," my voice was barely audible.

We divided the luggage and began carrying to my room.

"Lemme grab that for you," he said, grabbing two more bags along with his share. That left me with two, barely dangling from my arms.

"Thank you..." was all I could say

We walked down the long hall a little ways before he asked what my room number was.

       "217," I managed.

We walked on to the end of the hall until we reached my room. He put his hand out, motioning for my keys. I obeyed and gave them to him.

The care he took to open my door and set my luggage inside made my heart quit beating completely.

"Are you this kind to everyone around here?" I finally said.

He sat all of my bags down in a neat order and looked back at me. "Only to very beautiful fans like yourself," he bat his eyes at me in a playful manner.

"Who said I was a fan?" I crossed my arms, trying to hide the already beaming smile.

He laughed and then pointed right to my shirt.

        "Oh, right..." I said.

He walked straight to me and turned me around. I practically melted under his touch.

"And if I'm not mistaken," he touched the middle of my back. "That's my name." His voice was soft and right at my ear. He gently gathered my hair and put it to the side. "And these are the names of the lads in my band." He took time to touch each name, stopping at Louis's at the bottom right of my back. I almost shivered. He slowly turned me back to face him. "Surely you remember our band name, love."

I swallowed, my pulse skyrocketing after his touch. "One Direction," I said under my breath.

He could tell the affect he had on me. He smiled and laughed lightly. "Exactly."

He put his hands in his pockets and stood a step away from me, still smiling his playful grin.

"Well I better get back to the lads. Gotta get ready for tonight. You know," he winked. "I'll be seeing you though. You can bet on that."

I opened my mouth, but a sarcastic reply was no where to be found. "Are you sure about that?" My reply was more of a pleading question than a saucy response.

"Ay, I am," he smiled, showing many of his white teeth. His smile was beautiful.

"Alright then," I nodded, a smile sneaking it's way back to my lips.

"Alright then," he said. His mile widened and he threw his hand up. "See you later, love."

Love. The word stuck to my brain as I absent mindedly waved like an idiot. He waved one last time and opened his door that was a few rooms down from mine. I watched the door close, and quietly closed my own.

Don't get your hopes up, Sheyanna. I thought as I sat down on the cloud-like bed. You've been through the ringer too many times with guys. What makes you think he's any different?

I laid down on my bed, twirling my phone in the air, lost in thought. There was only one thing I knew at this very moment; and that was that I was completely and totally falling for Zayn Malik, in a way that I never thought I could.
