Sparks Fly

His hands firm on the small of my back, pulling me closer to him. His soft lips, tasting of salt and ketchup, pressed deep into my own. My arms draped around his neck, while on my tip toes to reach him. How do we get to this? Thoughts fuzzy and pointless, pushed to the back of my head. My only focus is him. Him being Beckham Fisher, the number one athlete in my school. The starting quaterback for football, lead pitcher for baseball, highest scorer in soccer and, worst of all, my brother’s best friend.

The familiar smell of spice and wood filled my nose. The scent lingered teasingly in my nose and then vanished in the air. I'd know the scent anywhere. It just so happened to be my favorite scent. I slid from my bed and peeked through my slightly opened door. I saw the cream colored bathroom door swing open releasing an explosion of the scent once more. The first thing I saw was a blue Ocean Pacific towel. Then I seen what it was wrapped around: Beckham Fisher. My heart melted in my chest when I laid my eyes on his perfectly tanned, beefed up body. He ran his hand through his amber brown hair in a seductively inviting way. I was immediately lost in my day dreams of hi, they sent chills down my spine.

"Gabriella!" The call from my mother frightened me so bad I jumped. I shut the door quick to avoid his seeing me. I got myself together and opened my bedroom door to a disappointingly empty hallway. I followed along the walls of the hallway, passing memories that were plastered with smiles behind frames, to the stairs. I went into the kitchen where my mother awaited me.

"Yes, mother?" I said in distinct monotone.

"As you know, your father and I are going to the Country Club this weekend.and we've left you in charge." She said.

I nodded.

"Fantastic. Father and I will be leaving early tomorrow morning, so I will cover this with you now."

I nodded, yet again.

"Your brother is dating that Fiona Waters girl again, and, as I have warned him, she is not allowed in this house under NO circumstances this weekend. Understand?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Good." She thought a minute. " I supposed the only other main thing is make sure Sebastian stays out of trouble, to the best of your abilities of course."

"Yes mother." I nodded once.

"Very well. Go brush your teeth and get ready for bed, you still have school tomorrow." She kissed the top of my head.

"Yes ma'am. Good night."

"Good night, dear."

I turned, went up the stairs, and back to my room. I brushed my teeth and got into bed just as mother mother had told me to. I drifted to sleep almost as soon as my head hit my pillow, with the scent still resigning in my nose.
