The Angel and The Devil

Desire is an angel. Nessie is a devil. Neither of them fit where their supposed to. But when a chance encounter brings them together, they can't help but notice their similarities. Becoming best friends, they decide to switch titles- and lives. But the punishment if their discovered is as severe as it can get. Will they be able to keep their secret or will they be shunned by their families for the rest of their lives?

12. Jealousy

 Nessie's POV:

I can't believe that Desire just did that. She gets D'ablo's number, which should be mine because she told him that she was me. Though I did get her sister to like me more, she shouldn't have just walked away from me. Without saying goodbye! Grr.

I slowly make my way to Des' house. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. After all, I kind of miss my family.

When I walk in, I don't even stop to say 'hi' to anyone. I just run upstairs and into Des' room. I shut the door and throw myself onto her pillow. Oh yea, homework. Well, I guess she'll just have to have a bad grade. No, I wouldn't do that to her. After all, it wasn't really a fight. More like a kerfuffle.

I get up and go over to her desk. I sit down and take out the Angel History report I have to finish. 'I shouldn't have to do this,' I thought to myself as I began the report. It took a long time but I finally finished.

When I was done, I decided to go for a walk. I walked down the streets and wherever my feet took me. When I stopped, I realized something. I was infront of my house. Not 'my' angel house, my real house. I climbed the familiar oak tree and looked inside my room.

The red walls, worn desk, and springy bed were just how I remembered. The closet door was open as usual, and clothes were spilling out. The room was a mess. That's why I liked angel houses better. They were so much cleaner. I was hiding behind a branch, and I knew no one could see me. That's because one time Ally hid here while I was writing in my journal, and she popped out and scared me. I wonder if Desire has met Ally. Probably.

Soon, I heard the door creak open and in came Des, clutching the piece of paper with D'ablo's number on it with one hand, and throwing her bag across the room with the other. She looked frustrated, but as soon as she sat down on the bed and dialed his number her frown turned upside-down.

I decided that it was time to leave. So I jumped off the tree (which really hurt by the way) and ran 'home'.

I walked off the bus to meet Lizzie. She was greeting me and I only heard her say "dyvaol" and "are you okay?" because I was watching the devils get off the bus. Des got off with Tori and I saw her glance at me. We stood there with our eyes locked for about 3 seconds before she turned away, because D'ablo came up behind her and started talking to her. It made me want to scream how much he seemed to like her.

"Des? Des? Dyvaol?" I heard Lizzie ask worriedly.

"Yea?" I asked turning my attention back to her.

"Why were you staring at that devil girl? She looks kind of familiar."

"Oh, no reason. Familar? That's sooo weird." I say sounding a bit too obvious.

"Your hair- it's turning blonde." she pointed out.

"Wh-whaat?" I screeched, putting my hand on my head. When I got to my locker, I looked in the little locker mirror that I bought and almost screamed.

My hair dye was fading, and it showed. I ran out of the building and snuck into the devil's side. I ran to my locker and looked at Des with a look that said, 'I'm so sorry but please please help'

"Des, my hair dye is fading." I said in a hushed tone and pulled her to the angel's side and into the janitor's closet.
