6. So scared

At that moment, the bus stopped and I ran off. I didn’t know where I was but didn’t care. I had managed to meet the only 2 boys I’ve ever loved in my life in the same day and screw up with both of them. I ran as fast as I could and heard Dean calling my name after me. I ran into a department store and hid in the racks. After a while he gave up and left. But it didn’t stop there. After I got home, my laptop was blowing up with Facebook messages from him.  I ignored them and tried to forget what happened today. When I fell asleep, I couldn’t sleep very well. I woke up at five and stayed awake until 6:30. I got up and showered and checked my Facebook.  109 messages from Dean telling me to call him or message him back or whatever. I finished getting ready and headed back to Louis and Harry’s flat in a bus. I got there at 9:45, hung out looking at my bug which was okay now, and dreaded the moment of going in. By 9:57, I was so nervous I was shaking and sweating.  I open the door to the office building and walked in. “Oh, Ms. Thorson, you’re back!” John exclaimed. “Why wouldn’t I come back?” I asked him. “Well, there have been many women before you interview for this job. They all ran screaming after seeing Louis’ room.” I walked down the hall. Many women? That’s why they wanted me so bad. I knocked on the door to Harry and Louis’ flat, hands shaking, lip quivering. The door opens. I get so scared and-“Can I help you?” An old woman wearing a bathrobe and hair curlers asks me. “Sorry! Wrong room!” She slams the door on me. After all that, it was the wrong room? Just my luck. I knock on the plain white door from yesterday. Louis answers. “Brooke! We didn’t think you were coming back!” “I told you I would so here I am.” I say. “We’re sorry about yesterday. It was wrong to eavesdrop.” I sigh. “It’s okay.”
