What happens when a simple job interview brings you face to face with the love of your life? Meet Brooke, a 20 year old American, in England for college, studying at the prestigious Oxford University. It's summertime and she applies for a job as a maid and cook. Seems simple enough, right? Wrong. This job takes her through twists and turns, love and heartbreak, but best of all, she gets 4 new best friends/brothers and a sole mate. A job this amazing can only be described as the "Best Job Ever". WARNING: Some chapter have elements that can be triggering. And LANGUAGE! Some chapters have a lot of cursing. xxBo<3

118. 7/14/15 or Airport

“Please buckle your seatbelts.” The flight attendant says. I'm about 10 minutes away from London and am so excited. I made plans with Molly, my old roommate, to have her pick me up from the airport and take me to the hotel and then hang out afterward. I look out the window and see the beautiful outskirts of London and sigh. I've been away for 3 months. It's hard to believe that almost a year ago, me, Sarah, Cheradyn, and the boys went to the beach. I'm get so caught up in my thoughts I don't even realize that the wheels are on the ground. I grab my carry-on bag and hold on to it until the flight attendant says it's okay to get up. I grasp the bag and get off the plane and enter the actual airport. The first thing I hear is a scream that is so high pitched it sounds like a screech. The first thing I see is a girl about 17 years old walk towards me with her sister that looks about 13. I try to walk the other way, but I can't. “OMG! You're Brooke Thorson!!! The rumors were true!!!” The 17 year old says. “What rumors?” I say, realizing that I probably should have just kept walking. But I am genuinely curious. “That you were coming back to London! Like OMG I have to tweet this.” The 13 year old pulls out her phone and types rapidly. “Why are you back? Are you getting the rest of your things while you know Liam will be gone? Are you and Liam getting back together?” The 17 year old suddenly takes a deep dramatic breath. Then she whispers: “Are you hooking up with one of your school friends?” “WHAT?! NO!” I say. “Well, why are you here?” The 13 year old says, putting her phone back in her pocket. “I'm on vacation. And if you will excuse me, I have a friend waiting outside for me.” I step away and go to the luggage claim. I go to reach my bag and pull it out. Another bag catches my eye, though. It's covered in One Direction stickers. Every second longer I look, it's another dagger to the heart. “Hey, stop staring at my bag!” The bag is suddenly picked up and my eyes follow the voice, once again realizing the mistake too late. “AHHHHHH!!!!” The girl squeals. This girl has got to be about my age, or a year younger. “YOU'RE BROOKE THORSON!!!!!” My eyes widen, and my head starts to hurt to due to the sound of her scream. I grab the handle of my bag and roll it away. As I barely take a step outside, a camera flashes in my face. “Brooke, what are you doing back in London?” A paparazzi man shouts. “Are you getting back together with Liam?” More camera flashes go off and I'm blinded for a second! “Brooke!” I hear a familiar voice. Molly. I follow her voice and the paps keep firing questions at me. I try to block them out, but I can't. But all I can hear them saying Liam's name over and over and over again. I find Molly and hug her. I put my luggage in the trunk and climb in the passenger's seat, all while paps are still firing questions. “I have missed you so much!” I tell her and she laughs. “I've missed you too!” I guess I should enlighten you about Molly, since I never have. She is my age, going to Oxford, studying for a physics major, and, like me, she is also from America. The way we met was pretty weird. I walked into our flat/dorm and started unloading all my stuff. She ran in screaming that she saw a ghost in the hallway, not to anyone in particular, just screaming. The first thing I noticed is that she had a New Yorker accent. And she always said my Texas accent was the first thing she noticed about me. And all of our friends have joked that the only reason our accents aren't so heavily English influenced is because we talk to each other so much. But it's great being back with her. “So, what's with all those paparazzis? I mean, can't they just leave you alone, especially since you and He Who Shall Not Be Named broke up.” Molly says. She never was a fan of One Direction (She loves books and Harry Potter, resulting in Liam's nickname) but still supported me and him. “I don't know, but right now, my Twitter is blowing up.” I say, staring down at my phone, watching a notification go off every second. “Do I even want to look at it?” I ask her. “No. Not yet, at least. Just wait until your cruise is over.” “Ok.” I turn my phone off, not understanding the pain caused by what happened today.
