7. The Museum

I woke up the next morning, quietly got dressed and ready. I double checked to make sure I had everything I needed. I wrote a little note to Alice saying I would call her if I needed anything. I made her a sandwich in the fridge and sat on the couch waiting for the boys. I was SO nervous on wondering what was going to happen today. I smiled as I got a text from an unknown number it read:

“Hey this is Liam, we’re almost there. Sorry we are a little late, trying to get four boys ready and yourself is a real hassle ;)”

I chuckled. Then the realization hit me. I had LIAM PAYNE’S NUMBER!  I started to jump up and down with happiness and shock then I thought, (keep calm, kami, just be cool. He’s just like anyone else). I took a deep breath. I flinched when I heard the doorbell ring. I took one last look in the mirror then grabbed my phone and headed to the front door.

I looked through the peep hole and saw Liam standing there looking at his shoes. I opened the door and smiled.

“Hi Kami, are you ready to go?” He said with his sweet voice.

“Yeah.” I nodded as I closed the door behind me and followed Liam to the bus.

“You look nice.” Liam said trying to break the awkward silence.

“Oh, thank you, my sister picked it out.” As soon as the words left my lips, I realized how stupid it sounded (why did I say that?) I tried to play it off with an awkward smile.

Liam chuckled, “Well your sister has great taste.”

We reached the bus and the doors flew open. The driver greeted us as I followed Liam up the steps. The bus was huge it had almost everything. There was a kitchen, living room and a bar. As I followed Liam I saw the rest of the boys. They were all sitting on the couches in the living room watching sports on the television.  Liam invited me to sit down on the couch next to them. I smiled and sat down crossing my ankles. Louis turned off the T.V. The boys snapped out of their trance and automatically noticed me.

“Welcome back!” Louis said.

“Glad to be back”. I paused, “so now can I know what we are doing today?” I joked.

“I GUESS we can tell you now” Niall smirked.” Want to do the honors Liam.” He winked.

“Um, sure,” Liam cleared his throat, ”we plan on going to an art museum in downtown, then go for a walk on the beach, and then end the night with dinner at “Une Soirée à ne pas Oublier” it’s apparently the best restaurant in L.A.” He grinned as he looked at me.

“That sounds amazing!” I beamed.  I just stared at Liam; his eyes looked so loving and sincere. I just wanted to hold his hand and lean on his chest, more than anything in the world. The boys and I chatted the whole way there. We even had a good laugh or two! When the bus stopped Liam held his hand out towards me. I smiled as I gently rested my hand in his as I stood up. I followed the boys out of the bus and was shocked to see thousands of fans already being held back by bodyguards. Cameras were flashing and girls were trying to squeeze past the red rope and bodyguards to touch the boys. I was really nervous and I think Liam could tell. He leaned in a whispered:

“It’s okay, you get used to it after a while. “ He grabbed my hand and led me down the carpet toward the museum. I looked around at all the girls screaming, crying, and trying so hard to just touch the boys. I felt bad, because I knew how they felt. Even though I had never met the boys, their music had played my heart like a guitar and I felt a love towards each one of them.

We finally made it into the art building. Liam was still holding my hand. I thought it was weird ,but maybe he thought I was still scared or something. We all started to walk and looking around at the pieces of art. I let go of Liams hand and walked to a painting. It was called “Rainey Kiss” and the information plaque said it was by an artist called Leonid Afremov. It showed a couple kissing in the rain, the women’s leg was a little off the ground just like all the girls do in movies when they kiss. I stared at the painting with a curious look. “How can someone’s leg spring up like that just from a kiss?” I loved the painting though. They seemed so in love with each other and it brought a grin to my face. Someone stood next to me; I glanced to see it was Liam.

“Have you ever kissed in the rain?” he glanced at me with a smirk.

“No, but I have always wanted to.” I grinned.

“Why haven’t you?” He gave me a curious look.

“It doesn’t rain much in Texas” I smirked.

“Wait you live in Texas?” You could tell he was really confused.

“ya, It’s a long story.” I chuckled as I looked at my shoes.

Liam paused, but then said sweetly, “Well, I’m eager to hear it.” as he held out his arm.

I rolled my eyes, but hooked my arm through his. We walked all over the museum as I told him my story, occasionally stopping to admire a painting. I was really comfortable with Liam, and to my surprise I was being myself and was coming out of my shell. We were laughing constantly and at one point Liam took a breath and said,

“Wow, you are something,” he chuckled.

“Ya, I am pretty unique.” I joked.

Liam looked into my eyes and was about to say something, but was interrupted.

“Hey you two, we’re heading out!” Harry yelled from across the room.

Liam and I headed with the boys back to the bus. The fans were still there and this time I heard a girl yell,”who’s that bitch!?”

I smiled and ignored it as I stepped onto the bus.

I sat down and everyone was just talking when Niall jumped up, put is foot on the arm of the couch and pointed toward the front of the bus. He then yelled in a pirate’s voice,

” TO THE BEACH!”
