I Love You (Book 3)

Amber is now married to Niall Horan, and she couldn't be more happy...that is until rumours start getting in the way of her marriage.

16. An idea

Dave's Point of View

I still couldn't beleive that Amber had let me stay. It was a dream come true! Even the room where they let me stay was a huge upgrade from my own apartment back in America. It was huge, and elegant. Whew. Whenever I had imagined my little sister married, I had never thought she would marry the worlds biggest boyband. Incredible! I shook my head in amazement as I turned the TV off and got off of my bed.

It was lunch time, and I was feeling a little hungry, so I walked out of my room to the main living area. Amber was lying on the couch, looking distraught.

"Hey Amber!" I said as I came up and sat beside her. "What's wrong?"

She looked up from mindlessly watching the TV, which was on a channel I knew she didn't like. "Nothing, Dave."

"Are you sure?"

"How about we go out for a burger or something? Something American... and I know for a fact you love hamburgers." I smiled and intently watched her face for a reaction. Her face quickly lit up.

"Okay... I'll pay." She sat up.

"No, I'll pay. You've given me soo much already, Amber. The least I can do is treat you for some lunch, and maybe the afternoon in town."

She seemed to contemplate it for a moment. "Okay then... you've got yourself a deal." She stood up. "Give me about twenty minutes to freshen up, and I'll be ready." She then quickly ran upstairs. As I waited I took the TV remote and flipped the channels. There wasn't much on, so I settled for a reality show which I had never heard of.

The only word to describe it seemed interesting, but that was okay. I wasn't in America... I was in London!

Exactly twenty minutes later Amber came down the stairs. Her hair was up in a ponytail, and she was wearing a lot of makeup which made her eyes pop. I still didn't understand why girls wore makeup, especially Amber. She was the prettiest girl I had ever seen.

"I'm ready, Dave," She said and smiled. She was wearing skinny jeans with a light pink shirt, which was rather long and then a black jacket overtop. She looked just like her mother, and I smiled.

"Okay, you can drive... bring me to the best American food place ever! Money isn't an issue."

"Great! I can't wait!" Amber's eyes gave a little twinkle as she grabbed her car keys from the kitchen counter. "Let's go."
