Stella, a girl who works two jobs while living life in Chicago is taken for a big surprise when Harry Styles suddenly becomes interested in her. She constantly tries to turn him away but he won't give up. The question remains, can hate stop fate?

15. Chapter 15

(Stella’s POV)

I got ready for work thinking about Harry the entire time and not quite believing that we were dating. Who would have ever thought that something like this would happen to me? I actually did my hair tonight for work since Harry said he would be coming in and I wanted to look good for him.

I just had to work a 3 hour shift tonight so I showed up at 11 and began work. I was working for about 30 minutes when there was a loud commotion at the door and heard, rather than saw, the boys come in.

“Stella Bella?! Where are you?!” I watched Louis yell as his eyes swept across the club for me. He finally saw me and then motioned for all the boys to follow him.

Louis came up to the bar and slammed his hands on the counter. “Hello babe. We would like some beer please.”

“Hey, watch it Lou, only I can call her babe,” Harry said with a smile as he leaned across the counter to give me a quick kiss.

“Oooo! Harry is showing some affection!” Louis said while laughing. Harry just smiled and then grabbed a beer.

While I worked I watched as all 5 boys acted like brothers rather than just band mates. They made fun of each but never took it too far as to make somebody mad. I was in a great mood as the night went on. I tried to give the boys some space but Harry kept leaning across the bar to talk to me.

My boss kept shooting me glares for talking to them and ignoring customers but I didn’t care. We had another hour till closing but the boys were acting like they were just getting started.

“Another beer, m’lady,” Niall slurred to me. I laughed as I opened up another Corona for him.

“Do you have to work til closing? Can’t you just hang out with us?” Harry asked me.

“You know I wish I could but I can’t just get off.” Just then my boss walked behind me and said “Stella, just take off. You’re ignoring other customers anyways.”

I blushed with embarrassment as I said I would keep working but my boss wouldn’t hear of it and just said for me to come in an hour early for my next shift to make up for it.

I clocked out and walked over to where Harry was.

“Well, I can’t say I’m upset that I got you in trouble with your boss,” Harry said as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I started to stand on my toes to give him a kiss when all of the sudden Louis walked up and interrupted.

“Let’s get drunk! I got you a shot since you have some catching up to do.”

I took the shot and threw it back.

(Harry’s POV)

Stella put the glass down from her fourth shot on the counter and swayed a bit.

“Easy Stella,” I said to her as I put my arm up to help balance her.

Stella rolled her eyes at me as she turned back to the game that her and Louis were playing. They were watching as guys walked up to girls in the club and then predicting whether or not they guy would be successful at getting the girl to dance. Stella had just lost the last three in a row.

When Stella lost the next round I stared at Louis until he noticed and knew that I wanted the game to be over.

Now that she was drunk, she of course wanted to dance.

“C’mon and dance with me Harry,” she said as she pulled me on the dance floor.

We started dancing together and she put her arms around my neck. We started to kiss when all of the sudden Liam was at my side pulling me away from Stella.

“What the hell man?,” I said to Liam.

“Some paparazzi snuck in without the bouncer seeing them and were taking pictures of you. We better leave.”

Stella had started dancing by herself while I had talked to Liam and a guy had walked up behind her and started to dance with her. Her eyes were closed so she didn’t realize it wasn’t me she was dancing with.

Before I could even think, I walked up to the guy pulling him away from her.

“Get away from my girl,” I said to the guy.

“How about you get your hands off of me before I hurt you,” he said to me in response.

I’m not sure if it was the alcohol in my system or just me being angry, but before he could say one more word I punched him in the face. The last thing I saw as I grabbed Stella’s hand and walked out of the club was how happy the paparazzi were as they snapped pictures of the guy on the ground and then me walking out with Stella.
