Truly, Madly Deeply

'I hate you Harry Styles...'

2 years after finishing school and being tormented by Harry Styles, Ellie Laker finally gets accepted into a presigious performing arts academy in London. This was everything she had ever wanted, but she knows that it is probably too good to last...

29. Fights

Harry's P.O.V

We sat underneath a oak tree, shaded from the sun. Hallie sat between my legs, and was leaning against my chest. She was sweating, and I shifted uncomfortably beneath her. She flicked her hair back and a few strands landed itself in my mouth. I discreetly spat them out, and wiped my mouth in disgust. I saw Niall chuckling from his position next to Zayn, and I shot him a death look.

Hallie, noticing a disturbance, turned her head around, causing more hair to find their way into my mouth.

'Everything ok babe?'

I raised the corners of my mouth slightly, my eyebrows raising, as they did whenever I faked a smile. She smiled and slammed her lips against mine. She recoiled quickly.

'Ew, you have hair in your moth. You're disgusting.'

And she turned around and slammed her back into me. I bit my lip from the pain, but also to stop myself from retaliating. I noticed Louis give Liam a sly look, but I didn't even bother shooting them a dirty look back.

I deserved this. After what I did. Even if it was to protect her. I stared up at the sky, the wisps of white rolling across the blue. I had ruined everything. I shouldn't have ever agreed to anything with Hallie. I shouldv'e stopped when I had the chance. I looked at the artifical blonde hair that sat 10cm away from my face. But all I could picture was the brown of Ellie's. It was so much nicer than Hallie's. Ellie. I seemed to be making bad decision after bad decision. I didn't want to sleep in our room, so I agreed to stay at Hallie's, on a condition that we would be together.

I was desperate. Wasn't in my right mind. But I couldn't take it back now. She had practically forced herself on me every night since I've stayed there, and I found myself thinking more and more of Ellie. And how I could never have her back.

A few people walked past and Hallie yelled out at them. 'Nice shoes mate. Do they come in cool?'

The man that she had yelled at stopped in his tracks. 'Excuse me?'

Hallie just smirked at him, and went back to checking her split ends. She hadn't noticed that he had started to walk over here. Niall began to shuffle uncomfortably, and Liam cleared his throat. Hallie shot him a disgusted look, but as she moved, she caught sight of the bulky man that now stood, looming over us.

'You say something slut?'

Hallie just opened her mouth, but closed it on second thoughts. 'Harry!'

She stared at me, expectantly.

I scoffed, but she pushed me up on my feet. I stumbled slightly, and although my heart was pounding, my anger was starting to rise.

'This your boyfriend?'

I opened my mouth, but Hallie just nodded, and scrambled out of the way. I twisted my face in shock. Louis was looking at me, shock written all over his features. We had started to attract a crowd.

I tried to swivel my neck back to the man, but his fist collided with my cheek before I got there. Before I could recover or even defend myself, his fist had found my nose, and I felt a crack. Liquid started to flow, and he punched me again. My stomach felt the blow, and I felt the air knocked out of me. I coughed and my chest heaved. His fist knocked my head and I fell on the grass.

I tried to turn, to see if it was really her, before I felt a foot in my back. I looked up and saw the boys getting held back by the man's friends. Their faces held signs of outrage, and Hallie was nowhere to be seen.

'Stop! He's not even worth it.'

I heard the sound of a foot leave the ground, and I braced myself for another blow. But instead I heard a groan. I turned around, and saw the man holding his groin. And Ellie was there. She angled her head down slightly, and I stared into her eyes. Her eyes narrowed, and she turned back around, but she was met with a firm punch.

She staggered, and her injured leg collapsed from underneath her.

'Yeah don't try and interfere bitch. And you too Malibu Ken.'

'Oi, get off both of them!'

My mouth dropped as Callum joined the ring. He pushed the man back, and dodged the hit the man had planned for him. His fist connected with the man's face, and Callum forced him backwards.

The man, nose bleeding heaving, shot us all death glances, though he started to walk away. The boys ran to me, and I winced as they touched my stomach. Ellie, lay, heavily breathing, a few metres away. Callum was crouched over her, but I started to make my way over to her.

Her face was a bloody mess, but she still refused to meet my gaze.

'Thanks.' I stammered.

'It's fine.' She coughed, and Callum offered her a hand, but she refused. 'I'm fine.' She shakily got up, and I stood up with her, my hand stemming the flow of blood from my nose.

'Ellie.' I grabbed her hand, but she quickly shook me off, and walked away. My hand fell limply by my side and I rubbed my eye. I looked up at Callum. 'Thanks.' I told him grudgingly.

I turned around to face the boys and Zayn offered me a tissue. I weakly smiled at him and applied pressure on my nose.

'Egh, why are you so bloody? And I just saw the best sight. Ellie was crying and she had blood all over her!' Hallie had appeared out of nowhere, and we all just stared at her with the utmost dislike.

I'd had enough. I walked over to her. 'We are done. I'm not staying with you anymore, and I am never touching you again. Don't approach me or Ellie ever again. Your threats mean nothing anymore.'

The expression on her face turned to poison. 'You don't mean that. You know what I can do.'

'I am fully aware of what you can do. Now go away.'

Her eyes flashed with anger, and she turned away, her heels clacking as she walked.

'Mate..' Louis started, but I cut him off.

'No, I've got to see Ellie.'

I walked down the path, and through the corridors to our room. I took a deep breath, before opening the door. Ellie looked up from her position on the bed, tears staining her cheeks.

'What are you doing here?' She hiccupped.

'You need help. Medical...I mean.' I walked over to the freezer and pulled out an ice pack for her swollen eye.

I walked over to the bed, and handed it to her, which she accepted with a suspicious glance. A few awkward moments passed.

'So why did you do it?'

'Do what?'

'You know.'

'They were hurting you.' She shrugged. 'I don't like seeing people hurt.' She looked up at me with tear glazed eyes. 'But obviously you don't have a problem with it.'

I swallowed my anger and sadness. 'I'm sorry Ellie. I know what I did was wrog, but you have to believe me, I was trying to protect you.'

She stared at me for a while, before sliding under the covers, and whispering 'I don't know what to believe anymore.'
