1. Haley's 18th Birthday: 1D Tickets

  Haley's POV:

I woke up from dreaming about a One Direction concert. I've been having this dream for maybe...a year? This is the dream:

I made my way to our seats, Lilly trailing behind me. When the concert finally started, I signed the lyrics for Lilly, who's deaf. Harry saw me doing that and looked into my eyes. Then I caught Zayn staring at Lilly. The concert continued and when it got to One Thing where they sang, "Cause I'm dying just to know your name," Harry looked deep into my eyes, and Zayn did the same to Lilly...and then I woke up.

Anyway, I made my way downstairs only to be greeted by a POP and, "Happy 18th birthday, Haley!"

"Aww, thanks, guys!" I said. There was my dad, my mom, my sister, Hannah, my two twin brothers, Alex and Tommy, and then my bestest friend in the whole entire world, Lilly, who was signing a happy birthday message to me: Happy birthday! You're going to LOVE your present!

You can't really put emphasis on a word in sign language, but you can tell when Lilly WANTS to put emphasis on it.

I CAN'T wait! I signed back, then said, "So, what's for breakfast?"

"Well," my mom said, "We were going to let you pick where you wanted to go, love, it's your birthday!"

"IHOP!" I immediately shouted. I am in love with that place. I am also in love with waffles...

"Then iHop it is," my dad said. "But why don't we do presents first?"

"Yay!" Hannah, the two year-old squealed. "Open mine first!"

"Then ours!" the twins said in unison.

"Then, ours, then Lilly's," Mom said.

I sat down in the living room and opened Hannah's present. It was a journal with a lock and a key that was attached to a ribbon to put around your neck so no snooping brothers try and read it.

"Thanks, Hannah Banana! I love it!" I said.

"Yay!" Hannah shouted. "Haley likes my present! Haley likes my present!" over and over again.

"Ok, Alex and Tommy's present," I said. They know me too well. they got me the Burrow Lego set. I am such a tomboy, I also like Legos. Then Lilly's the in-between girly and tomboy, and Hannah's all girl.

"Thanks, guys!" I said. My parents got me a 1D poster and and an iTunes gift card. Lilly got me..."FRONT ROW ONE DIRECTION CONCERT TICKETS?!" I screamed.

Lilly laughed. Yes, she can laugh even if she is deaf. She can talk, too, but it might sound a little weird since she can't hear it. "Yes! My dad owns a company, though, remember? So all it took was a little begging," she said.

"So, wanna come with?" I asked, though it wasn't really a question.

To my surprise, she said, "No. Pick someone else that can actually hear the music."

"Lilly! You. Are. Coming. With. Me. Unless. You. Want. To. Make. Me. Mad," I said. Lilly has a phobia with forks...yeah, crazy, but it's like Liam.

Lilly pretends to cower, even though she knows I could never do that to her. "Fine, I'll come."

"YAY!" I said, then  said, "Now, to iHop!" and flew out the door to have the best breakfast ever.
