We landed in Pennsylvania and Niall lightly shook me awake. It wasn’t a bad flight, considering I slept the entire time. I looked down to see little balls of paper covering the front of me.

“Who did it?” I demanded.

Niall held in his laugh and his face turned red. He nonchalantly pointed his head to Louis. I looked over at Louis who was listening to his iPod, his head barely moving to the beat. I pinched his side really hard and quickly and pretended to be asleep on Niall.

“What the-“

“It was Carson!” Niall said flinching as Louis hand came swinging at him.

Louis tried to stop but ended up hitting my boob.

“OWW” I yelled and shielded my chest.

“Oh my god I’m sorry” Louis cooed, putting his hand on my shoulder.

“Whatever,” I said, my eyes watering from the pain.

The plane finally let us off and we walked through the shuttle. We waited for my mom who soon joined us.

She smiled at me and I smiled at her. I felt like we had a true mother/daughter connection; one that we’ve never had before.

Niall’s hand found mine and we laced our fingers. We were quickly greeted by flashing cameras and screaming girls.

“Looks like they found us” Liam sighed.

“Oh dear, what do we do?” My mom asked. This was defiantly new to her.

“Our guard should be here,” Harry said looking around.

The girls rushed us, trying to touch the boys but the police quickly got involved and pushed us back.

Their guard came running towards us and escorted us to get our luggage. They called a car for us and we headed towards the hotel. We crammed into the car.

“Wow, maybe it was good we brought you boys along” My mom said out of breath trying to escape the girls.

The boys all laughed.

“Okay, give me your names” my mom asked.

“I’m Harry”

“Zayn”

“Louis”

“Liam”

“I’m Niall” he said blushing a little. It was so cute.

In the car we all talked about almost everything you could imagine. We pulled up to a hotel that was at least 20 stories high.

“Oh wow” I said in awe.

“Is it okay?” Niall asked.

“Oh yeah, not what I’m used too”

The car driver grabbed our luggage and we made our way inside the hotel. It was about 2 in the afternoon but we were all exhausted.

“Drew Mathews” Niall said casually. None of the boys questioned him.

“What?” I whispered but he quietly shushed me.

“Hello Mr. Mathews, here are your keys and I hope you enjoy”

Niall handed my mom the keys and we all crammed in the elevator.

“What’s up with the name?” I asked.

“So fans can’t find us” Niall explained, “They’ll figure out all they can about us”

We were on the 18th floor and we all stood in front of the 3 rooms.

“You two are splitting up” My mom said eye us.

This time I blushed, we had just met. I had no intention doing that any time soon.

“I’ll stay with Carson,” My mom said, “You boys split up”

She handed Niall back the keys and we went into our room. Everything was a tan color. The floor and kitchen were all marble. The beds were queens and had huge white comforters. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub and a tv right in front of it.

“Wow,” My mom and I both said at the same time.

We unpacked our clothes and I hung up my leo. I remember back to the first subway ride; when Niall asked to see it. The first time I saw his perfect smile, his blue eyes, smelt his smell.

“So why the change of mind?” I asked taking my hair down and trying to style it.

“He talked to me and changed my mind”

I went and sat on her bed.

“Dad?” I asked.

She stopped what she was doing and took a deep breath.

“Yeah,”

She tried to smile but it quickly turned to tears.

I was up in a matter of seconds and hugged her.

“I’m sorry” I said staying strong.

“You have nothing to be sorry for,” she said grabbing my hands in her cold face.

My mom was aging before my eyes. Not in a bad way, but she wasn’t the young mom I remembered when I was younger. I wasn’t going to have her forever; I didn’t get my dad forever.

We both laid on her bed and cooled down.

“How long have you known him?” She asked breaking the silence.

“Two and a half weeks. It feels like I’ve known him forever,” I confessed.

She smiled.

“And I kept him from you.”

“It’s fine! You didn’t know.”

“I’m sorry Carson, for being so hard on you lately. I’ve been so stressed”

“Mom, its fine. You don’t need to apologize”

We were quiet again. I played with the tassels on one of the throw pillows.

“Do you like him?” I asked.

“Yeah,” she smiled, “He’s a very sweet boy. When he talked to me I could see it in his eyes, his interest in you. He’s falling for you”

I giggled and my mom kissed my forehead.

“Are you nervous for tomorrow?”

“Nah, whatever happens, happens,”

That’s how I really felt about it. I was going to try my hardest and that’s all that mattered.
