Found you

Ely and Ty have been friends all their lives, but after one day they are split and put on different lives completely. When they meet will they remember what has happened and forgive or will it all end badly? Shall they see past their one big difference or will that make or break them? Shall they ever forgive each other...

10. Who the HELL?

I slumped forward on the bus as we arrived back at school. It was silent, the roar of the engine had been like a dagger through all of our hearts. The class had ran before they could see that Ely was dead, before she turned, before she was really gone from our hearts. I screamed and ran towards the open door of the bus, the mail boxes were no good victims, they would cave in too easily. Tommy came and yanked me to the floor, the grass filled my mouth and muffled my screams and cries.

"C'mon lad, we have to see her mother." Guilt spread through me. I had made her move all those years ago, I had made her life hell because she had been forced in to care, I had made her fight for me and she just ended up dead. Everything was my fault, and there was no denying it. I stalked in to my seat again and felt all of the pity eyes glancing on me, I just laid my head on the window and let the tears run clear paths down the mist of the glass. I don't want to be here.

We were the last ones off the bus. The cottage was run down and looked unfit for anyone to live here. The bell on the door was broken, the knocker fell to the floor as soon as I grazed my fingers over it. The entrance peaked open and revealed one eye and half of the face of Selena, Ely's mother.

"Mrs Spiers, we are truly sorry to bother you and to deliver this news. Can we come in." Tommy spoke, his voice slow and sorrowful. She shook her head and waved one hand in front of the door, asking for us to continue. This time I spoke, and I was angry.

"Look Selena, you DON'T want this news over the DOORSTEP! Open the Damn door and let us in!" I shouted at her, she took a single step back and hid herself with the door. The sting on the back of my head made the guilt wash over and engulf me. I was never this mad, I could never remember if I was.

I stayed outside and muttered, "Ely and Tyler are dead, Tyler did it." She stopped in her actions and a blood curdling scream shook the windows. Small cracks appeared in them, I was scared of her for the very first time. her hands locked around my jumper and I felt the blood seeping through it, the words grew more intense and so did the pain. Tommy ripped her off me and the pain vanished, the blood dried and there were no more cuts.

"She has started, she is alive." She repeated over and over again whilst walking every room of the house. We followed her like ducklings following their mother, tripping over our feet or the scattered papers and clothes.

"She is a hybrid!" She exclaimed and stopped abruptly. Tommy and I fell into a ball on the floor, and looked at her like she was crazy. "Do you not see boys? I am a witch, and her father a shifter. She will come back." I do not know what happened fully, but before I knew it I was running past the bus and crashing in to the woods. I heard the chorus of wolves and I didn't not let go of the feeling of hope. Hope that she was still here, hope that she will give me a chance.

The familiar look of the electric fence  made me sprint faster down those winding trails and onto the bland gravel. I saw something move, and a grin was plastered right across my face spreading from ear to ear. It turned and it was not her, someone with eyes as bright as a strike of lightning, hair as black as the depths of a well, skin as white as porcelain.

"Who the HELL!" I shouted, the eyes travelled across and caught me. Searing pain made my knees weak and my heart throb. I was slammed in to a tree, one of the branches piercing my stomach. She was close now, right upon the border of the trees.

"I am the end."
