3. Chapter Three

Libby's POV

Liam looks really deep in thought...not that I was staring at him...okay maybe a little. Anyways, we were on our way to our first class: Creative Writing. When we arrived, eyes immediately came my way. Maybe it was because I was with Liam, he seemed awfully popular. The whole way to class, greetings were thrown his way. Regardless, I started to feel self-concious. I looked down and crossed my arms across my chest. The teacher Mrs. Jenkins, a kind looking older woman greeted me. "Hello," I responded as cordially as I could manage under the circumstances. "Ms. Kirk, I see you had Mr. Payne as an escort. Which is why I assume he is tardy?" She questioned patiently waiting for an answer. Liam innocently replied, "She needed her timetable and directions to the office, so I was being a welcoming person." Mrs. Jenkins seemed pleased with the excuse and Liam sat down. "Okay, Olivia please stand right here," she instructed me. Timidly, I did so.
Does anyone have any questions for her?" Mrs. Jenkins asked the class. Hands shot up and I could feel my face reddening and my palms starting to sweat. "Jane." Mrs. Jenkins called on a girl in the front. "What day were you born on?" I took a deep breath and answered, "May 25th." This wasn't so bad honestly. "Corey?" The tall red head looked up at me and asked, "Favorite song?" I looked out at the class and said, "I can't choose one, there are too many good ones." The class laughed at it as if it was funny.....I mean I don't think it was. After about six billion more questions we were just about to end the questions when a beautiful blonde raised her hand. "Yes Danielle??" Asked Mrs. Jenkins. "I have one more question for Olivia," she said sweetly. "Well, then ask," Mrs. Jenkins said. "What planet are you from?" Danielle asked the same sweetness in her voice.
At that moment, I was embarrassed and angry. I wasn't going to let this happen to me at this school so I responded, "Oh, well I'm from Earth, what about you?" I asked mimicking the sweetness. Everyone guffawed and and laughed at the wittiness of my response, I knew she had to feel embarrassed and upset. So I added, "I'm just kidding. But yeah, Earth." Danielle seemed surprised by either my remark or subtext apology. Either way, I think I made and impression whether it was good or bad I didn't need it.

Liam's POV

I don't know why I was laughing so hard. It was funny, but not that funny. Danielle was giving me a look waiting for me to defend her. I don't think that I'm going to though. Plus, Liv did apologize. She was just joking so she wouldn't be embarrassed. I snuck a peek at Liv, her face was red, and she was looking down at a notebook we didn't need. I wanted to go over and comfort her, but how could I? Right in front of Danielle. I couldn'.
I decided I was going to say something to her later about it. I felt terrivble that my girlfriend was such a bitch. I also didn't wann hurt her either. She could be sweet, sometimes. Regardless, I was going to subtly let Liv know I was angry with what Danielle said. I hope this works well with both sides.

Libby's POV

I don't know why I got so worked up about Danielle. Everyone laughed at what I said, not her. Yet, it embarrassed me to no end...which is why I practically ran out of the room as soon as the bell rang. "Hey, where are you going Liv?" Asked Liam. I'd totally forgotten about him. He was in my next class since we had all of the same classes. So, I slowed to a stop and waited for him to catch up. "Are you okay?" he asked. I looked down, "Yeah, I'm fine, why?" I already knew the answer but I wanted to see what he said. "Well, you didn't look fine in Creative Writing," he said with a hint of worry in his voice. "Are you saying I'm ugly?!" I exclaim jokingly."No, no. I just meant that you looked kinda upset, and I hate when people try to embarass others in front of class and when people look upset ca-," He babbled on. "Liam, I was joking," I laugh at the irony. "I knew that!" He said. I simply rolled my eyes in response. He smiled wide and laughed at himself, and we continued onto class.
We went on to Theoretical Production class (techy stuff), Art (my personal favorite), and then vocal (which seemed to be Liam's favorite). They all were enjoyable and the students and teachers were welcoming. The classes breezed by and I felt happy for once. Liam escorted me all over school and the day just got better and better.

Liam's POV

Liv was good at all her classes, and the day breezed by. Now it was time for lunch. I honestly couldn't wait to see my mates. "So um do you think that your mates would mind if I joined you?" asked Liv timidly. "Why would they mind?" I asked honestly stumped. "Because they may not like me at all," she said simply as if it were a fact. I looked at her like she was mad and said, "Trust me they will." Maybe a little too much I thought to myself.
