Saved By A Stranger

Cassidy and her best friend Candy lived at an orphanage for over 14 years. They had lost all hope when suddenly a handsome stranger came to adopt them. They were desperate, but this stranger drew the confidence out of them. Cassidy finds true love, Candy finally understands, but happiness comes with a price. How much will they pay to be happy?

3. Rainy But Lucky

I quietly got ready for school.  I put on my favorite shirt I washed yesterday and my jeans.  I tied up my hair and put on my coat.  I threw the backpack over my shoulder and helped Candy with her things.  I braided her hair to one side and helped pack up all her stuff.  She grabbed her umbrella and both of us were out the door. We slowly walked down the stairs and saw a handsome young man talking to Miss Rochelle. She called, "Candy, Cassidy, come over here."  We walked there slowly and waited for her to tell us further directions.  The man waved at us and smiled. I smiled back, trying hard to hold back to warm feeling that I got from him.  "Cassidy. Cass. Cassidy! Cassidy!" I didn't realize that I was staring at him. I shook my head, "Oh, oh I'm sorry. Yes?"  He laughed softly, but loud enough for me to hear.  Miss Rochelle handed me the paper, "Since you're the oldest, you get to decide whether or not you get to go home with this man."  I looked questionably at the form, "Wait, you are going to take both of us with you, aren't you?" He nodded, "Whatever you like."  I smiled and signed the form.  He looked at the form, "That's some signature. So beautiful."  I smiled as I handed it to Miss Rochelle.  Candy was dancing like a physco ballerina. She was so happy and I was too. Finally, someone who wanted to take care of us.  But I was also a bit scared, who is he was a petifile, a rapist? He looked so caring and sweet, but he was also a stranger.  Miss Rochelle looked at us, "Go start packing. You are going home with him in half an hour."  Candy danced up the stairs and I followed, smiling and blushing, a little bit embarassed by my sister.  We packed our lipgloss, hairbands, all our clothes, our backpacks, and our prom dresses.  He drove us to his house in his van. I nervously played with my hair. He smiled, "What's your full name?" I looked at him, "Cassidy." He raised his eyebrow, "I thik nyour signature is much longer than Cassidy."  I felt like I was trying to win a word war with him, "Well, I don't really feel like telling you. Just wait until we have a stronger connection."  He nodded, agreeing with me.  Candy sat in the back, staring out the window and daydreaming.  We finally reached his house. It was huge, a two-story mansion. (It wasn't exactly a mansion, but to me, it looked like one.) Candy grabbed her suitcase and went inside first.  Four other guys scared her to death as they screamed "Welcome" from the couch.  The man helped me with my suitcase, "Here. And by the way, my name's Niall." He had a cute Irish accent that I always dreamed my boyfriend would have. I waved to the boys on the couch and headed upstairs with Candy. Niall looked at them, "I adopted them from the orphanage."  Candy put her things in the Guest room. I had no where to sleep.  The Guest bed was too small for me ad Candy to share and the other rooms were taken already. Candy went to unpacking her things. I left my suitcase in her room and ran downstairs, "Niall, where do I sleep?" He ran his fingers through his hair, "I didn't think about that...Hey! You could sleep with me in my room." I raised an eyebrow. He corrected, "I meant sleep in the same room!" I smiled as I went back upstairs to unpack my things.  Niall walked in, "Hey, get Candy and I'll introduce you guys to my friends who also live here."  Candy and I walked downstairs to see them.  Niall was waiting downstairs.  He pointed to the curly hair one, "This is Harry. The one fixing his hair is Zayn.  Louis is the one next to Harry. And Liam is sitting in the corner."  I waved shyly and smiled warmly.  Harry's eyes gleamed when he saw Candy.  It was as though he was struck by lightning.  Niall looked at us, "You guys can go take a shower and clean up. We will go shopping tomorrow, but for now, we are going out for dinner."
