What would you do if you were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time? Run? That's what Lucy and Nina did. Running led them to One Direction. Now, becoming best friends with the boys is easy. Lovers, amazing. But when names get to the press on a trip to Italy,  everybody better run because stories will be told and horrors will be relived when someone shows their SCARS.

28. Chapter 27

(Lucy's POV)

"Are you serious?" I asked Liam. We where sitting in a quaint little restaurant trying to avoid attention when Liam told me that we have interviews tomorrow. 3 of them.

Me nods. "yeah. I'm really sorry Lucy. I tried to get out of it but there's no way."

"why do you need me to be there?"

"Because. It's to clear up this whole mystery girl status." he says, reaching across the table to grab my hand.

"wait...I actually have to be on camera!? I thought I was just going for moral support!"

At that moment our food came. Liam looked from me to the waiter saying 'thanks' as he walked away. I looked down at my parmesan ravioli.

"I'm just gonna use the restroom real quick..." I avoided eye contact with not just Liam, but everybody who I passed on my beeline to the bathroom.

Finally in there I was alone, looking at myself in the mirror. I look down at my wrist, then back at my face, before retreating into a stall.

I enter and close the door behind me. Then I stand there. I don't want to be on camera. Im to... Not skinny. People will call me fat. I stand there and stare at the toilet. This porcelain object that I was always around. I crouched over, the feeling of being fat and not wanting to disappoint my boyfriend, overwhelming my sense of judgement.

I place 3 fingers on my lips.

Slowly, my mouth opens.

Soon, my fingers are on my tongue, gliding backwards, ever so slowly.

"excuse me. Are you done in there?" a shrill voice from outside of the stall breaks me of my motivation as I quickly stand up and exit the stall before I can rethink it. I send her an apologetic glance before returning to our table.

"Liam," I say as I walk up, "can we please get out of here?"

"What why?" he looks at my face. Scrutinizing every detail of what brought this on. Soon he is standing, throwing a tip on the table, band leading the way out.

We walk in an awkward silence for 5 minutes before we make it to a park where Liam plants himself on a bench and stares at me, expectantly.

"what?" I say, sitting next to him.

He sighs, leaning forward to grab my hand. "Lucy, whats wrong."

"nothing" I mumble, looking down.

"Lucy," he places a finger under my chin, pulling my face up to be even with his, "why won't you tell me?"

I search his eyes for anything to tell me that how I feel he will see me is true. "because I'm scared" I finally say.

His eyes show surprise, then hurt, as if he thinks I'm afraid he will physically hurt me. As if to prove this suspicion, he takes his hand from my chin.

"I... I would never hurt you.."

"I've hear that before." I mumble, looking away once again.

"Lucy. I won't hurt you. I lo–"

"don't." I say, cutting him off placing a finger on his lips. "don't say you love me. You can't love me..."

"why not?" he says, clearly confused.

"because, there's things you don't know about me..."

He was silent, taking in everything I just said. I took this moment to begin telling him what felt like enough to write my biography.
