Nobody Compares to You

Celia is just a normal 18 year old, she lives a normal life until her brother, Jackson, dies from cancer. She is never the same because he was her best friend. She decides that when she turns 19, she wants to move away from the little town in New Hampshire and pursue her dream as a photographer. She moves to London, England and meets five boys that almost fill the hole that was made when Jack died. Will she fall for one of the boys? Will one of them fall for her?

12. drifted but never forgotten

I walk in to the store and I see a brunette girl with her back turned away from me. She was nodding her head and my boss looked over her shoulder and saw me.  "This is your trainer-"    "Celia?!" she said quite loudly and ran over to me. She hugged me tightly and then pulled away...Oh my goodness, it's Becky! I scream to myself and pull her into another hug. Realising why she hugged me.    "I can't believe you're here! I haven't seen you in forever!" I say, still confused as to why she is in London.    "So, you're my trainer? That's cool!" she said even louder, I remember how loud she always was. "How are you're parents?" she asked    "They are great! I am here to go to college at L.I.P." I say.    "Are you kidding? Me too! this is so awesome! How's Jack? He famous yet?" she says excitedly. How do I tell her?    "Well, no he...died last year. Cancer" I say, looking at the floor, a tear rolling down my cheek.    "No! I am so sorry Celia he was such a nice kid! He was so young! She pulled me into another hug and I pulled    away.    "Can we talk about this later?" I say, beginning her training. I hand her, her schedule for the week.    "uh. Yeah." she took the schedule and I showed her how to check people out,  how to stock the racks, and how to do every job that I do. She will work the opposite shift to me except on weekends.    Work is over and I see Becky getting ready to leave, I stop her.  "Do you wanna get a coffee? There is a Starbucks near my flat, you can come meet my friends, they are supposed to meet me there after work." I offer, what if she's a fangirl? I don't want her attacking the boys. I don't think she will though. She agrees and we start walking down the street, catching up, and we walk into Starbucks. I see Harry and he waves me over to where they are sitting. I walk over and Becky follows me but stops when she looks up and sees Harry. His hand is intertwined with Payton's and he smiles at her. Her face lights up and she walks over to the table. Niall says hi to her and she completely loses it.  "Oh my god you're One Direction!!!!" she yells, luckily we are the only ones in here    "Oh,'re a directioner?" I ask, she nods and just stands there with a huge smile on her face.  "Well, you obviously know the boys, and Danielle, and Eleanor." I say motioning towards them. "And this is my friend Payton, Harry's girlfriend." Payton smiles and Becky waves at her. I tell her to sit and I walk over to niall and sat in the chair in between him and Zayn. I give him a quick peck on the lips.  "I missed you." he says, pouting. I giggle and take his hand.   "I saw you five hours ago." I say.    "Five hours is like five years to me." I smile and introduce Becky    "Sorry guys, this is my good friend from high school, I met her in seventh grade. Her name is Becky." They all shake hands over the large table.   "Zayn, where is Perrie?" I ask. He looks at the ground and starts lightly tapping his fingers on the table.    "We...broke up earlier, I saw her kissing another guy. And I went off on her and dumped her." he says shamefully.    "I'm sorry." I say rubbing his shoulder   "it's okay, we have been growing apart lately, I'm just glad I don't have to hurt anymore when she's not around." Becky looks at Zayn as if she's staring into his soul.    Becky's phone rang and she answered it.  "Yeah...okay...I'll be right there, don't go anywhere." she hangs up the phone and apologizes. "That was my roommate, there's someone there to visit, I have to go. I guess I'll se you around?" she says to all if us hugging me, and walking out. The rest of us wave goodbye and just keep talking.    Becky is a great friend, we drifted apart but I never forgot her.
