in progress not finished yet. against hate crimes

1. emotionless

We forget the fear of the risen hand

And the controlling marching band

Erase the sound of innocent screams

The fear of mindless killing machines

Banish thoughts of the children tears shed

The streets that were painted blood red

We will forget the unpleasant past

And shout down the questions asked

We’re told to put the warnings bay

We will ignore the wounds that forever stay

Distracted by someone else to hate

Will we only learn when too late?

Rose tinted glass will hide all pain

Until one day it will happen again

Why must we hurt another?

Could you kill a sister or brother?

Or learn from the ones who fell

I guess that time will tell
