Back in Time

When Katy is in her room, cleaning, she comes across a forgotten CD, Up All Night by One Direction. No one knew what happened to them and all of their music was confiscated. The Ministry made sure of that. One Direction was famous 3 years ago, and Katy was 17 then. She was 20 now, and she had to go back in time to find One Direction before the Ministry did.

9. Lost

"Hello? Katy?" my mom asked, annoyed and worried that I called her again.

"Hey Mom. I'm alright. But I'm at the hotel closest to the airport. The one we stayed in for vacation." a few months (or was it years?) ago, we had gone on vacation here and stayed in this hotel.

"Okay, well, we're almost there. Just hang tight. See you later, Katy Kitty."

I laughed at the nickname she had given me when I was 6. "Okay, love you Mom. Bye."
I hung up and fell back onto the couch.

It was weird, being the one that has to save One Direction, and apparently date the one and only, Harry Styles. I love One Direction, but I wouldn't want to date one of them. Especially if it's for publicity. I'd rather date someone that I love, than to fake it just so someone else can stay popular. It's selfish, but then again I'd get a ton of hate. Nobody wants that.

I heard a knock at the door. It was the knock that my mom always used, to signal it was her. No one knew the knock except for my mother and I, and my dad.

"It's me, Katy."

I reluctantly pulled myself up from the couch and opened the door.

"Welcome. Have a nice stay." I said, smiling at my parents.

Andy came to the door, his tongue hanging out of his mouth. My mom came through the door and patted Andy on the head.

My parents didn't bother to sit down, because they knew I wanted to get out of here.

"Let's go." I said, breaking the silence and grabbing my bags. I wanted to avoid conversation, knowing they'd eventually bother me about being on the news.

My dad opened the door. "Right. The airport isn't that far away, we'll be home in no time."

I hauled my luggage through the doorway and made a beeline for the elevator.

*Ding* The elevator beeped once we reached the lobby. I checked out of the hotel as quick as I could and went to grab Andy's leash. He looked up at me as we walked outside. It was pouring rain, so we ran as fast as we could to the car.

"Katy, meet us at the airport, alright?"

"Okay," I said, tugging on Andy's leash. "C'mon, boy."

~20 Minutes Later~

By the time I was on the highway, I couldn't even see through the rain. I might as well have ripped the headlights out of the car, it was so dark.

I couldn't even see the road signs through the rain. Once it cleared enough for me to see, I realized I was far from the road I should've been on. I didn't even know where I was.

The little road on my GPS disappeared. All it said was '46 miles from the house of President Conners.'

I tried to call my mom, hoping she'd know where I was.

*Beep Beep* my mom didn't pick up.

I cursed under my breath, giving up. Luckily, as I got in the car, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

"Hello?" I asked, my hands shaking. Not only was it dark and rainy, but it was cold.

"Katy? What's wrong?" It was my mom, calling me back.

"I'm stuck out here! I don't know where I am, and it's cold, and dark, and I'm scared, Mom!"

"What do the signs say? Where are you?"

"Um... I'm not sure what it's called, but the crappy Ministry GPS says I'm 46 miles from the President's house."

"That doesn't help, sweetie."

"Oh, wait, here's the name! I'm in... Albany..." the phone beeped, indicating that the call was over. I looked at my phone in horror.

"Why? Why me? Why can't I go back to 2015? Why can't I be old again?" I said, tears streaming down my cheeks.

Andy looked miserable, too. His head was down, and his tail wasn't wagging like it usually did.

"Oh, Andy. Maybe I can try to call someone else." I said, patting his head.

But I didn't know who to call. My grandparents couldn't help me, my parents were too far away to be able to call me, and I didn't really have anyone else to call...except for...

"Louis? What are you up to?"

"Nothing, really. Why?"

"I'm stuck in a random town. I have no idea where the heck I am. Are you guys close to Albany?"

"I'm not sure. Let me ask someone." I heard him screaming to Liam.

"Liam, do you know if we're near Albany?!"

I heard Liam in the background. "We're very close. Why?"

"Katy wants to know." His voice became louder, he had put the phone back to his ear.

"We're close, yes. What's wrong?"

"I'm stuck out here and have no idea how to get to the airport. Can you guys come and get me, possibly?"

"Yes, we can. LOUIS TO THE RESCUE!" he hung up.

I sat back, letting myself relax. "Andy, we're saved."
