Summer Love

Lily is looking for a fresh start in her life after the messy, thrilling teenage years, she doesnt regret them, but she craves a fresh start. As she turns 20 she moves into her new house in Notting Hill, unfortunately it's only a matter of days before she is reminded of her teenage years. He wasn't famous then, he was just her summer love, but now she will always be reminded of harry, harry styles.

6. Take Me Home

I began to walk home after an afternoon of shopping in Notting Hill, I bought loads of ornaments and cushions for my new house, frilly, coloured, some with sequins and a few with tassels. I really got into the shopping side of things, London was such a vibrant, modern place to shop but on every street you can always find that one gorgeous vintage shop that you fall in love with, and want to buy everything from! I was really excited now to get home and have a good sort of each room one by one. I felt great, things were finally going my way.
I turned the key into my door and brushed my feet on the temporary piece of carpet, soon to be replaced with my newly purchased 'Welcome' mat. I had my first couple of days off work to get my house organised, so I was really excited to get going.
I walked up the stairs and dumped all my shopping on my bed. I grabbed a box that once held all my clothes from moving house and began putting everything that was going to go in the living room that I had just bought into it. I had everything from paint to fairy lights. I felt the living room should be done first because if anyone comes to the house, they'll almost certainly see that room. I lugged the box downstairs and cleared everything out my living room.
'Right then, let's get painting!'
I covered the wooden floorboards with old sheets and began to paint a fresh cream colour over the dark blue walls that I must say, made the room look tiny and cold. It would need a few coats but I was confident to finish it by tonight, it was only 4 now.

5 hours, 3 coats of cream paint and a lot of painting later it was finished. I removed the sheets from the floor and to my surprise the wood had a whole new colour to it, the room was bright and airy. So much better than before. Tomorrow I will be able to hang pictures, put lights up and curtains! I moved the big ornaments back into the living room being careful not to scrape the walls.
'Its tiring being a painter!' I said out loud to myself as I walked upstairs to bed.
I brushed my teeth in perhaps the only room that didn't need redecorating, the bathroom! Luckily the ex owners of the house did have taste in their bathrooms! It had a jacuzzi bath and overhead shower, with modern tiles half way up the walls. Id put all my shampoo and cleansers in and it looked great.
I walked back along the hallway into my bedroom, as I laid down I felt really pleased with what I'd accomplished today, Harry will be out of my head before I know it and I'll be living in my gorgeous house with a job girls would die for!
