15. Fix You

I woke up at about 7 am. Perfect. The days I actually do get to sleep in, my brain decides to get up early. I roll over and grab my phone. No new messages. I leaned over the bed and grabbed my slippers, sliding them on to my feet. I peeked into the guest room, Niall has still passed out. His mouth was slightly open and he was laying on his side. His chest was bare and his skin shining from the sun coming through the window. I shuffled in to the kitchen. I decided to make him a nice breakfast. I didn't know why he got so waisted. But maybe something was wrong. Well all I can do is try.
I walked to the freezer an pulled out some bacon and eggs. As I was cracking the eggs I heard Niall in the bathroom. Vomiting. I raced into the bathroom. His face was red. He had blotches and bumps all over his bare back.
"Niall!?" I screeched. Clutching his arm. He groaned and looked up at me. Then his eyes wet blank and he was motionless.
"NIALL!!!" I screamed. Tears were steaming from my eyes. I grabbed my cell phone. 911.
"911 what's your emergency?"
"Help! My friend is sick! He was drunk last night and then he got sick and he just passed out in the bathroom! Send an ambulance now!!!"
"Okay they are already on their way. Please stay calm and keep the victims head and chest elevated." I threw down the phone and gripped his shoulders. I leaned his torso on my stomach. His head was on my chest but he was facing away from me. I stroked his cheek and cried.
"It's okay Niall. They are on their way. Stay here. Stay here." His breathing was like gasping. Short and hard. His eyes rocked back into his skull. The look on his face was one of a dead man. I was still holding him when the ambulance got there. He was put on a stretcher and oxygen tanks were strapped to him. I threw the left over breakfast in the fridge and raced to my car. My eyes were dead set on the road as I followed the ambulance to the hospital.
An hour later I was sitting in the waiting room. Niall was rushed in to the ER. They said it was likely he got alcohol poisoning from drinking too much. Thy said the next few hours were critical. I called his parents. I told them what happened and they said they would be there as soon as they could. I also called the boys. They would try to be there but they were stuck in traffic. I paced the waiting room. I was worried. And scared. I didn't know what to do. I was going crazy. I sat down on the bench an closed my eyes. I drifted off to sleep with images of Niall in my brain.
