5. five. the news to break all hope.

I was caught up later.

I have end-stage melanoma.

Skin cancer.

A highly dangerous type of skin cancer that affects less than five percent of those diagnosed with skin cancer.

Just. My. Freaking. Luck.

Also, the leading cause of deaths related to skin cancer.

Great.

I could try medication, surgery, injections, but there was no guarantee it would help in any way. In fact, this paricular case

my case

had metastasized: spread to other organs and areas.

Great. Just Great.

We could try to do something but it was probably too late. I looked at my mother. It was like watching the life drain out of a flower.

I'm terminal.

Like Victoria.

I will die... I don't know when. I know how and where. I know I'm going to be in pain. What I also don't know is why. They say God has a plan for us, and everything that happens to us is part of that plan.

But why does God want to kill a fourteen year-old girl?
