26. Finding answers

Alesha's POV
His face... All I could think when I saw his face was that he was after me. That he was going to kill me. I don't know where these feelings came from, all I knew was that I was frightened as hell. So I screamed when I saw him next to me.
I screamed until I was sobbing.
I screamed until the doctors were near me.
I screamed until he was dragged out of the room.
I screamed like it was the only thing I knew how to do.
The girls emerged into my room, once my screaming had eased and I was left with a throbbing headache and scratchy throat.
"Hey." Eloise said, sliding into the seat 'he' had been a while ago. I couldn't even bring myself to say his name, not without my dreams flashing back to mind.
"Hey." I croaked back. I scanned their faces, which were filled with concern and sadness.
"How are you going?" Lily said, sitting lightly on the end of my bed. I shrugged my shoulder, but winced at the sharp pain in my chest.
"Leash? What happened?" Lily asked. I closed my eyes and tried to rewind back to what had happened, but all I could picture was 'his' face, smirking at me, holding a knife to my back. I felt the hot tears streaming down my face, then the comforting arms of my friends around me.
"His face..." I stutter, "It's- it's always there, but not like how it used to be. He trying to kill me." I say, breaking down in more hysterical sobs. Amy rubbed my back in comfort.
"Who? Who's face?" Claudia asked. My throat closes as I try to force 'his' name out of my mouth.
"L- L- Lou-" I couldn't finish, instead I ended up gasping for air. Even his name sent a chill down my spine. He was after me. He had me trapped, and I couldn't move from that street.
"Louis?" Eloise finishes, "You mean the guy who has been worried sick for the past 12 hours, and who hasn't left your side since arriving here?" I nod, shaking. Eloise sighs, then whispers to Amy, who stands and leaves the room.
"I can't remember anything, just that 'he' was after me. He was the one who stabbed me." Lily shook her head at my accusation.
"That's impossible," she said, "He was with me. We were driving around the whole damn place looking for you!" That couldn't be true... How come I only saw 'his' face? How come 'his' face was the one that haunted me?
The door clicked open and Amy walked in, followed by the doctor.
"How are you feeling, Alesha?" The doctor asked. I shrugged, just like I had done to the girls.
"Now, I've heard you've been seeing Mr Tomlinson's face, instead of the attacker? Is this correct?" I nodded towards him, shuddering at the thought. He scribbled something on his clip board before slowly approaching me.
"I just need to check a few things, ok?" I nodded again, and let him prod me, and flash a light in my eyes. When he pulled out a syringe, I freaked.
"No!" I yelled and tried to pull away from him.
"She doesn't like needles!" Amy yelled and hurried across the room to take my hand.
I winced when the needle pricked me, and more when he drew blood from my arm.
"I just need to run some tests." The doctor said. I nodded and collapsed my head onto my fluffed pillow, feeling sleep pull me under.

Louis' POV
Why was she screaming at me? Why couldn't she look at me? What had I done? After I was dragged out of the room, the lads surrounded me.
"What happened?! All we heard was her screaming? Are you ok?" Liam asked, being the Daddy of the group. He draped his arm around my shoulder.
"I- She- and then-" for once I was lost for words. I couldn't even explain what had happened because even I didn't know. I took a deep breath.
"Did I do something to her? Something to make her frightened of me, I mean?" I ask the boys. I look into four sets of eyes, hoping to find the answer there.
"Not that I an remember. Is that why she was screaming?" Niall asked. I hesitated before nodding my head. Alesha was frightened of me. The girl I was in love with was scared of me, and I had no idea why.

Lily's POV
"We just need to ask you a few questions about the incident." The female officer said. I nodded, then focused on the mole on her chin. She cleared her throat.
"Why was Alesha out and in an unknown part of town?" She asked.
"She was angry at the boys, especially Louis, for keeping her in the dark. She stormed out. She always does that." The officer nods and scribbles something on her notepad.
"What where the boys keeping from her?" Was I allowed to tell people about the threats? I'd just have to see.
"We were receiving death threats. The boys said they had it all worked out, but Alesha wanted to know more and the boys wouldn't let her in on their plans." She scribbled.
"And you and Mr Tomlinson were the ones who went out to find her?" I nodded my head.
"How did you know where to find Miss Currie?" Damn! I had forgotten all about the message. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and handed it to her, letting her read it. The officer frowned, wrote something down and handed my phone back without a word.
"Do you know anyone who would want to hurt her?" I shake my head. How could anyone want to hurt Alesha?!
"Last question. Why is Miss Currie frightened of Mr Tomlinson?" Frightened? When it's said like that... But how?
"Because of a dream she had when she was knocked out. Apparently he was after her, and he was the one who stabbed her. That's impossible though, because he was with me." The officer nodded again.
"That's all for now, Miss Matheson." I stand up and leave the room, a million questions running through my mind. I think I needed to have another chat with Alesha.
