15. Dragging me away from you

Alesha's POV
The flash of blue official uniforms and the faces of security guards bombarded the room as someone grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the room, away from Louis.
"LET ME GO!" I scream, and thrash my arms, trying to escape the tight grip. The unknown person holding me tightened their hand around my arms. This was going to leave a bruise. I looked over my shoulder towards Louis' room, trying to catch a glimpse of what was going on, but the door was closed, and two security guards were posted outside. I thrashed again, but it was useless. I was being dragged down a long, empty corridor, with multiple closed doors on each side. What was going on? Where was I being taken? I looked down to my pocket in search of my phone, only to discover I had left it in my bag- which was in Harry's car. I turned my head to the person leading me, and was shocked to realize I recognized the face.
"Paul?" I ask. One Direction's security guard and part of the management. Everyone knew his face as he was always seen with the boys.
"This is for Louis' safety." He replied bluntly. I could see in his eyes he didn't want to be doing this, but it was his job. He had to protect the boys. But from me? Why?
"What's going on? Is Louis in danger?" I asked, but none of my questions were answered. Paul just looked straight ahead.

Paul lead me to the door right at the end of the narrow corridor. I could see the faint glow of a light inside. He opened the door and stood me in front of a middle-aged brunette woman. She nodded her thanks to Paul, and he left without another word.
"Have a seat." She said, gesturing to the chair across from her mahogany desk. I hesitated, but sat.
She folded her hands together and rested her chin on them. She stared blankly at me with cold grey eyes, glaring. I could feel her eyes burning into mine. I never pulled away from her gaze. Who was she? What did she want from me?
"My name is Aubrey Harris. I'm the lead in the management of One Direction." I stared at her, confusion filling me.
"What am I doing here?" I ask. I wanted to escape, and sit back in the chair beside Louis' bed and listen to his sweet voice again.
"As you are well aware, Louis was viciously attacked this evening by an unknown suspect."
Wait," I stopped her, "Do you think it was me?" Why would I attack him?
"No! Of course not. You're obviously not capable of doing that," she paused, and tilted her head to the side as she surveyed me, " I just think that it would be better if.. How do I put this? You need to stay away from Mr Tomlinson for the time being."
My mouth gaped.
"Are you serious? How's that meant to help!" I could feel a rage building up inside of me. First they literally drag me away from the person who could easily be one of the best things to happen to me, then they tell me to stay away from him? What the hell. She continued.
"We don't think you are right for him at the moment. Too much stress and attention is being put on him, making him an easy target for attackers."
"So it IS my fault!" I stand, furious with the accusation.
"Please, calm down. I'm not accusing you-"
My nostrils flare in anger.
"What are you doing then? Separating us? Trying to keep us apart? WHAT?!"
Aubrey closes her eyes, just for a split second before replying,
"He doesn't need you."

Louis' POV
She was dragged away before I could stop them. Not like I could've stopped them. I'm in hospital for Christ's sake! I heard her calling my name, and saw her struggling to free herself, before the door of my room was slammed shut. 'I need to help her.' I lifted my aching body out of bed, cringing through the pain, and hobbled towards the door. 'Of course they would've locked it.' I thought to myself as I tried the locked handle. I could faintly see the outlines of two people standing outside my door through the blurred glass. Security guards? What's going on?!

My only other option was the window on the other side of the room, and as I made my way towards it, I could already tell it wouldn't be an option. I was at least 10 stories high.
"Dammit!" I yell. I rest my good hand on the windowsill, breathing heavily, and stared down at the night traffic below. Cars whirled past in a blur of headlights. I thumped myself down onto the hospital bed and stare up at the ceiling. God, this place was boring! I turned my head towards the door when I heard the sound of a key in the lock. Aubrey walked in.
"What do you want! I know this is your doing! Where's Alesha? Where did you take her?" I heard myself yelling, accusing. This wasn't like me.
"Alesha's gone." She replied.
"Wh- what? Where'd she go?" I asked. Where was she?
"Alesha has been asked to stay away from you," anger washed over me, "and she agreed."

Authors note: Aubrey Harris is NOT part of One Directions management. This name is completely made up.
