Meet Me in the Meadow

Dreams are like fireflies. You have to catch them in order to see the beauty, but once they stop lighting up, they die. That sums up my life. An eighteen year old girl, who sits alone everyday in the same spot wondering what to do with her life. If anyone wants to save me from ending it, tell them to meet me in the meadow. I bet you no one will show up.

25. The Last Time

It has been two months, and today is the day Harry is supposed to come home. I want to stay as far away from him as possible. I do not want to speak to him, and I do not want to speak of him. He is a fragment of my past, and I need to move on.

The halls in the school were very crowded, as I squeezed my way through. I felt a sharp pain in my ankle, as I went crashing to the ground. People all around me, snickering and laughing at my pain. Ivy smirking at me, while people were giving her praise, as she did the right thing. People like her disgust me. I looked up at her, with tears streaming down my face.

"Sorry, didn't see you there." She grinned, laughing with her friend.

I have had enough of this bitch.

"You are such a bitch, you know that?" I yell at her, getting up to my feet.

Gasps come out of the crowd's mouths, as Ivy looks at me with shock on her face.

"So you can talk? Let's see how long you can stay that way." She says, stepping closer to me.

"I have had enough of you picking at me every fucking day! I am sick and tired of running away from you! You know what? I don't even care anymore! Whatever I did to you, I am sorry. Congratulations, you won. Happy now?" I scream at her, running away to the corner of the library.

I sit in the corner, balling my eyes out. I can't believe I just did that. There was a reason I stayed quiet for all of these years, so I can stay out of all the pain that I was feeling. Now, I had to be loud, and people are going to hurt me even more. I wiped my eyes with my trembling hands, and looked up to see a figure.

"Are you okay? That seemed pretty rough out there." The boy says, sitting down next to me.

"I'm fine." I whisper, looking up to see the bright blue eyes that belong to Mason.

"Do you want to talk?" He questions, flipping his brown hair to the side.

"No, it's fine, Mason. Thank you though." I say, forcing a smile on my face.

"Okay...I guess I will see you around?"

"Yeah.." I mutter, before he walks away with his hands in his pockets.

I sigh, and tuck my head in my lap. I can't stand this world anymore. Everyone is just here to stab me until I bleed to death. You know what? They have successfully completed that goal. This is the last time they will ever be hearing from me. I am getting out of here. The sooner the better.
