15. The Perfect First Date

“Thank you so much, girls for coming! Go up to my room, I’ll get some snacks and drinks.”

Sissy and Violet went upstairs while I grabbed some chips, 3 glasses and a bottle of cola.

“So tell us again. What did he say?” Violet asked, while we all sat around the bowl full of chips.

“He asked if I had any program today, and then he asked me out. He said the place will be a surprise  and he told me to wear something comfy and don’t wear high-heels.”

“That’s all?”

“Yeah, I know. I tried to make him tell more, but he was so stubborn.”

“Well, guess it won’t be any formal like a dinner in a restaurant if you can’t wear heels.”

“Thank God! I don’t need more rumors ”

“Ok, then sneakers or the usual ballerina shoes?”

“I’d say the ballerina shoes. Violet?”

“Let’s make an outfit for both, and we’ll see. When will he pick you up?”

“At 7.”

“That leaves us….4 hours.”

“Let’s do this!” I turned on some music, and we opened my closet. Clothes pieces were flying across my room. After quite a lot of time, we made 5 outfits.

“Ok, let’s see. How about this one?” It was a white shirt, with red jeans, red sneakers and a denim jacket.

“Um….I don’t want to wear it right now. And I don’t really like white shirts.”

“Ok. then the next one.”

We continued, until only 2 set remained. The first one was a turquoise long-sleeved tunic, with black leggings and black ballerina shoes, and the another one was a plain pink long-sleeved shirt, with denim jeans and a pair of white sneakers.

“Ok, girls, I want opinions.”

“The pink one!” Sissy said.

“No, definitely the tunic!”Violet insisted.

“Argh..thanks for helping me!”

“You should decide. Both of them is pretty and you’ll look gorgeous. Wear what you think is comfier.”

I bit my lip as I considered the situation.

“The tunic!”

“Great! Then do you need us any further? I have a date, with Dan.”

“No, thanks for coming. Oh wait, one more thing. What should I do with my hair?”

“Will you wash it?”

“Then just leave it naturally. Call us when you get home!”

“I will! Bye girls, thank you!”

I turned on some 1D music, and went to have a shower, wash my hair, and brush my teeth. I put on some sweatpants and a jumper, before went to the kitchen, where my sister and mother were.

“Are you going somewhere?” she asked, seeing my wet hair.

“Yes, I’m going out, but I told you before.”

“With who?”

“With a friend, mom. Thanks for paying attention.”

“You didn't tell me.”

“Argh…yes, I did. Yesterday evening, remember?”

“Not really.”

“Whatever. I go at 7 pm. I don’t know when will I be back.”

“But who do you go with?”

“Mum, you don’t know him…a friend.”

“Him?” ‘Shit’ I thought.

“You’re going on a date?”

“Yes, now I’d rather go get dressed.”

“No mom! Stop asking!”

“At least tell me his name!”

“Harry. His name is Harry.”

“Harry who?”

“You wouldn't believe if I told you.”

“I can’t let you got out with anyone.”

“You’re doing that again…”

“Tell me then!”

“Styles! Harry Styles. Happy?”

“Harry Styles? From that band? Good joke.”

“See? I told you.”

Before she could annoy me more, I went up to my room, got dressed, put on my Favorited perfume, mascara, and a little lip-gloss. I ruffled my hair, so it seemed wavier, and bit my lips. Should I take a handbag? He said comfy stuff, and a bag would just be in my way. I put my documents, money, and phone into my leather jacket, and checked the clock. He should arrive in any minute. I walked downstairs, and sat on the couch, until I heard a car stop in front of the house, and a few seconds later the doorbell’s sound. I ran to the door, checked myself in the mirror for the last time, took a deep breath, and opened the door. There he was, his casual, still dashing self, staring into my eyes with his mesmerizing green orbs, his lips curl into a perfect smile, as he says “Hi!” with his husky voice. “Hi!” I smiled. Before I could have said anything else, he brought forward one of his arms, that was behind his back, and gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I gasped at the sight of it.

“Oh my God, this is beautiful! You shouldn't have…Wait a minute, I’ll put it in a vase.”

I ran into the kitchen, where mom was making a tea. As soon as she noticed the flowers, she screamed: “Oh my God, did that boy brought this to you?”

“Mom, be quiet! He’s standing in the door. Please put it into a vase, I gotta go.”

She took the bouquet and I hurried back. He signaled me to intertwine my arm with his, and I happily obliged. When we got to his black Range Rover, he opened the door for me. While he went to the other side, I tried to slow my breathing down.

‘Come, on! Calm down. Big breaths!’

“So will you finally tell me where are we going?”

“Nope.” He grinned, and started the car.

“You are impossible…” I sighed.

“20 minutes and you’ll see.”  We spent that time talking, or mainly me trying to get him tell where our date took place and him laughing at me. We were out of the town, and although I didn't watch the time, I knew we had to be close to that 20 mins.

“Cover your eyes!” Harry said out of the blue.

“What? Why?”

“It’ll be better if you see it at the right time. Pleaseee!”

He looked at me with his beautiful, green, puppy eyes, and I sighed and put my hands on my eyes. After a few minutes, I felt the car stop.

“Can I look now?”

“Not yet! Just a minute!” He got out of the car, and a little later, he opened the door on my side, and helped me out of the car. When I was on my feet, he replaced my hands with his, and led me forward.

“I’m going to fall! Let me see!” I whined.

“Well, patience is not your virtue. Trust me, I won’t let you fall. Just a few…more…steps…” he said between each steps.

“Ok, now you can look!” I opened my eyes, and gasped. We were somewhere on a field, next to a forest. The lights from the car were perfectly enough, and I noticed a blanket, and a basket in front of us. I looked up to the sky. Stars everywhere, what’s more! It was a full moon!

“Oh my God Harry, this is….amazing!”

He smiled, took my hand and led me to the blanket. We sat down and he started to pack out the food.

“I've been thinking so much about the place, but I thought a quiet place without any fans or cameras would be the best.” “You were perfectly right! And it’s a full moon…this all is so beautiful.”

“Yeah, the idea came from Liam.” he chuckled.

“After you told them about your obsession with the space…and he informed me it’s going to be a full moon, so…”

“Thank you!”

We started to eat. The food was delicious, and the music from the radio in the car was also perfect. After dessert, that was chocolate-strawberry, we laid down and watched the sky. I had the best time of my life, I couldn't have imagined it to be better. The music changed into a slow one that I actually really liked, Kiss me by Ed Sheeran. As is started I looked up to the sky and shouted: “Look, a shooting star! Wish something!” I closed my eyes and concentrated on my wish. When I opened my eyes again, I saw Harry staring at me.

“What was your wish?” he asked.

“I can’t tell, just when it’s already came true.” He chuckled at my childishness, and stood up.

“Can I have this dance?” I blushed and stood up.

He took one of my hands, held it in his, as he placed his other hand to my waist, and I placed mine behind his neck.

“Did I mention that you look absolutely gorgeous? You’re eyes are shining in the moonlight like the moon itself.”

I chuckled, and thanked him. We were staring into each other’s eyes, and I felt the tense between us. My heart wanted to kiss him so bad, but my brain said I shouldn't. I didn't want to rush, in my imagination, I would never let the boy kiss me on a first date. I wanted to play hard a little, I wanted him to feel a little challenged, I didn't want to throw myself to him. As the song ended, we stopped, but he never let go of my hand. We both started to lean in, but in the end, I only gave him a kiss on the cheek. He smiled and stroke my hand, shivers were running through my spine as his soft hands brushed over my little hand.

“Are you cold?”

he asked.

Actually I was, a little, and he seemed to notice it by the temperature of my hands. He took off his blazer, and made me wear it. It smelled so…nice, so Harry.

“Thank you!”

“Do you want something to drink, or want to go home?”

“No, not yet. Let’s play hide and seek.” He laughed, but eventually started to walk away.

“You count! And don’t look!”

I counted until 10 and then shouted: “Coming, ready or not!”

I looked around, he was nowhere in sight. After a few minutes I walked to the edge of the forest. I looked back, checking if he was around the car, and then I heard a large noise behind my back. I jumped, and quickly turned around. Harry was approaching me, to the point when my back was pushed up to a tree, and his arms were next to my body, his face inches away from mine.

“You scared me.”

“Sorry!” he chuckled. I felt his slightly mint breath on me, his eyes slowly making me melt. I bend over, so I could sneak away under his arms, and I hit him lightly.

“Tag, you’re it!” I ran as fast as I could, but a few meters away, he put his arms around my waist, and lifted me up. I giggled as he spun me around.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, as he sighed sadly.

“I don’t want this to end, but I should really take you home now. It’s late, and I don’t want your parents to be worried or angry with me.” I chuckled.

He was so sweet, and protective. I helped him put the blanket and the basket in the car, and we headed home. On the way, we were singing the songs that came in the radio. As the car stopped in front of my house, he held my hand and told me to wait. I was confused, until I saw him walk to my side of the car. I smiled as he helped me out, and escorted me to the door, where I turned around.

“Thank you Harry, I had a really great time!”

“Me too.”

“Well, then…good night!” I gave him a kiss on the cheek, and walked inside of the house.
