Wolf Boy

We all know that Jacob and Bella are long time friends. Jacob wants to be more than that. Bella does too. So why can't their undying love flourish? The answer is simple. Edward.

He has also been watching Bella since she was a young little girl, without anyone knowing. He teased her and entrigued her until she had no choice but to fall for him too. Now the time has finally come. Bella has finally a agreed to marry Edward and he entends to hold her to it.

Jacob, on the other hand will, will do anything in his power to stop the love of his life from selling her soul to the devil. Who knew werewolves had the ability to change humans as well?

What if Bella has some secrets of her own? What if she truly doesn't want either of them? I promise this story will be full of 'what if's'.

4. The Wedding

   Jacob's POV.

"I promise I won't let him hurt you."

These words ran through Jacob's head over and over again, as if on a broken record. He had no idea how he was supposed to fix this or keep the love of his life safe. Jacob didn't remember much of what happened that night, werewolves seldom remember their dreamscapes. All he knew is that he marked Bella on the night before her wedding day and that there would be a deadly price to pay.

His mark meant that Bella untimately belonged to him. In werewolf terms that is. Vampires don't take kindly to the werewolf rituals, specially when it involves their bride-to-be. In any other circumstances Jacob would have never dreamed of biting Bella, ever. But the full moon brought the iner wolf out of him so that he wasn't himself. He wasn't thinking straight. Werewolves are forbidden from biting humans because it has certain side affects. It turns them werewolf as well.

Jacob honestly wasn't sure if this was a good or bad thing. He loathed the idea of Bella marrying Edward and being turned into a blood sucker. The fact that the bite hadn't hurt her meant that she truly loved Jacob, not Edward, which was another good thing. The only problem was her engagement. She had said herself that she was marrying that leech no matter what. The other problem was Edward. What would his reaction be?

The wedding started in approximately 5 hours. Bella would be going to the Cullen's in little under 2. Jacob had very little time to come up with a plan to save both himself and Bella from Edward's rage. He really only cared for Bella's protection. If Edward found the mark, which he undoubtedly would sooner or later, he would kill Jacob and maybe even Bella as well.

Bella's POV.

It didn't take long before Bella was showered and ready to go to the Cullen's house. She was till uneasy about going but she knew she had to. After all it was her wedding day. She couldn’t just not show up. She would end up with an entire coven of angry vampires grilling her with questions and a very pissed off Edward to answer to. Bella had managed to conceal the scar with a small amount of cover-up and mineral powder, she hoped it would last throughout the wedding. Everyone would probably think that it was a love bite or something from Edward, but he would know the truth and he would be the farthest thing from pleased.

What if Edward remembered the dream too? Then he would know for sure and he’d kill Jacob. These were the questions and thoughts that now haunted Bella’s guilty brain. She was guilty because she cheated on her fiancee. She was guilty because she had allowed Jacob to kill him. She was guilty because she was marrying Edward when she truly loved Jacob. Of course she would never voice it aloud; she had always been intrigued and frightened of Edward. When he had left her, only a year before, she had been overjoyed. She finally thought that she was free to live the rest of her life with the man she loved, Jake.

It was only when she received constant dreams reminding her of Edward and what he was capable of. Constant reminders that in Edward’s mind, Bella belonged to only him. Several times he had threatened to kill Jake if she got too close to him. That’s when she had to start pushing Jacob away, out of her life for what she hoped was forever. She couldn’t let Edward hurt him. She simply wouldn’t be able to live with herself.

Despite her best efforts, Jacob eventually did wedge himself into her life once again and they were both happy for awhile. It didn’t last, of course, nothing good ever lasts. Edward had returned and claimed Bella back. She had no other option than to break Jacob’s heart in order to protect him.

Bella was only marrying Edward to protect Jacob; because she knew that if she had refused Edward would have killed her true love. That’s the only reason she ever did anything. To protect her Jacob.

Bella made her way out to her car that was parked on the front lawn of the cottage, seeing that it didn’t have a driveway. She wearing her favorite dark blue, skinny flare jeans with a pale green halter top. She had thrown on a worn-out jean jacket that Charlie had given her for her birthday last year. On her feet she wore a simple pair of white and green sneakers. Her hair was pulled back into a high ponytail, while her bangs hung loose around her face.

She hopped in her car, another one of last year’s birthday presents, and drove 15 minutes to the Cullen’s household. The moment she stepped foot from the car, Alice, her bubbly and excitable self, skipped down the front steps and gave her a bone crushing hug.

“Alice dear, you look exhausted!” she exclaimed and wrinkled her nose, “Ew, and you smell like dog. Much more than usual, I might add”

Bella’s eye widened, “Here we go.” she thought, “There’s no way I can hide this.”
Alice laughed at Bella’s facial expression and wrapped her arm comfortingly around Bella’s shoulders, “Don’t worry hon, we’ll get you all fixed up for your big day. I have everything planned out. Trust me, you’re going to love it, I’ve seen it.”

Another thought crossed Bella’s mind. What if Alice saw the dream too! Bella examined Alice for a moment. Surely if she knew then she would have said something, right? Or she would be at least a little stand offish. But no, she was acting completely normal, maybe even a little more enthusiastic than usual.

It took nearly 3 hours to get Bella completely ready. You could always could on Alice to keep everything exactly on time. Surprisingly Alice never once noticed the mark, if she did she didn’t mention it. Charlie and Bella’s mother, Renée Dwyer, had come to visit their daughter and give her a rhinestone pin for her hair. Charlie and Bella were now standing at the end of the long, red velvet carpet. Waiting for their cue to walk down the isle. Alice truly had done a wonderful job decorating the back yard for the celebration.

Pale pink, white, red, and yellow rose petals littered the ground. The antique wooden benches were placed perfectly straight, facing the altar. Ribbons and veils hung from the tree branches, along with colourful lights and assorted flower bouquets. It was a perfect overcast day considering most of the people at the wedding needed to be out of the sun. Thankfully the rain had held off and the wind had died down.

Bella’s dress was a very simple, strapless white dress with an open back and a long laced train. The mermaid style dress hugged her slim figure perfectly. The flaring ends at the bottom added the perfect touch to the elegant gown. Her hair was done up in a classic bun that showed off the tiny family heirloom her parents had given her. She wore white, open toe, heels that were barely visible under her dress.

The classic wedding music started playing softly through the grand speakers. Everyone slowly stood from their seats and turned around to face the doorway where father and daughter would emerge. Bella took a deep breathe and allowed her father to lead her down the carpet. The second the doors opened and she saw all the familiar smiling faces she knew she had made a mistake. A guilty knot began to form in the pit of her stomach. A thousand butterflies took flight in her stomach. Not the regular feelings a bride should be having. Before she knew it, she was standing at the altar, holding Edward cold hand as she watched Charlie take his seat beside her mother.

“You seem nervous.” Edward commented at a low whisper.

Bella took a deep breath, “Should I not be?”

“Bella relax,” he sighed and smirked, “Alice won’t let anything ruin her party.”

They went through their vows and exchanged rings. The pastor began to finalize, “Do you, Edward Cullen, take Isabella Swan to be your lawfully wedded wife?”

   “I do.”

The pastor nodded and continued, “Do you, Isabella Swan, take Edward Cullen to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“Maybe.” she thought to herself. She imagined Jacob standing at the altar with her. Their happy parents sitting in the front row. Charlie grinning widely at Billy, Jacob’s father.

“I do.” she murmured in her daze.

“You may kiss the bride.” the pastor declared and Edward lips pressed lightly against her's as the crowd cheered.

Only to be silenced by the sound of a wolf howling in pain.
