Wolf Boy

We all know that Jacob and Bella are long time friends. Jacob wants to be more than that. Bella does too. So why can't their undying love flourish? The answer is simple. Edward.

He has also been watching Bella since she was a young little girl, without anyone knowing. He teased her and entrigued her until she had no choice but to fall for him too. Now the time has finally come. Bella has finally a agreed to marry Edward and he entends to hold her to it.

Jacob, on the other hand will, will do anything in his power to stop the love of his life from selling her soul to the devil. Who knew werewolves had the ability to change humans as well?

What if Bella has some secrets of her own? What if she truly doesn't want either of them? I promise this story will be full of 'what if's'.

9. Love

Renesmee called a cab and said goodbye to Jacob. It was roughly 6pm so her parents would be expecting her home shortly. They had planned some family time since Christmas was already around the corner. Nessie was dreading it. Family time never went as planned. Something always ended up going wrong, she couldn't wait to see what drama might go on tonight. Probably a brawl between Emmit and Bella. Those are always amusing.

The drive home, as usual, was fairly short. Once she got home, she quickly ran upstairs and into her room to get changed and put her new clothes away. Ness decided to change into a pair of grey sweats and a bright red tank-top, since she probably smelled like Jacob.

"Soo," a voice sounded behind her, "How was your shopping trip?"

Renesmee spun around to come face to face with Carlisle, her grandfather. She quickly threw the dirty clothes into her hamper and flicked off the closet lights. Ness had a feeling that Carlisle knew something was up.

"It was fine," she replied calmly though she could feel her heart rate speeding up, "I had a lot of fun."

"Look, I'm not going to pretend that I didn't see you and Jacob at the mall today." Carlisle sighed, "Unlike your father, I quite like Jake and I think he will treat you well. So I will not tell anyone else about this, but you two need to learn how to be more careful. Is that clear?"

A wide grin formed on Renesmee's face as she nodded enthusiastically. She wrapped her arms tightly around the older vampire, who chuckled at his grand daughter's actions. He left quickly after reminding her that the family would be playing baseball later on that day. Nessie gathered the loose hair, that was falling around her face, and fastened it securely into a bun.

Ness never had been good at baseball, or any sport for that matter. But her Alice, always thinking on the bright side of things, reminded her that she would have all eternity to practice. Renesmee didn't like to be reminded that she was an immortal child. She didn't want to be immortal. It only meant that Jacob would grow older everyday while she was stuck at 18, or so the legend says. Nessie still had 3 years to grow fully, but after that she would be stuck that way forever.

Oddly enough, she wanted to grow old. She wanted to be able to age die. She wanted to be a mother and then a grandmother. With Jacob by her side the entire time. Perhaps their children would be werewolves like him; Renesmee loved that idea.

A knock at her door pulled Nessie back to reality. The door knob turned and her father emerged from the hallway, "Are you ready to go?"

"As ready as I'll ever be." she sighed then added, "You know I'll never be good at sports."

Edward chuckled and walked farther into the room. He didn't seem to notice the wolf scent, or if he did he didn't say anything. He eyes searched his daughter's face for a second, "You'll get better with practice, my darling"

"But what if I don't want to play sports?" Nessie questioned, "I like music and art....and animals!"

Edward simply chuckled again, "If you don't want to play sports, you don't have to play sports. You can do whatever you please, we aren't going to force you to do anything."

"You're forcing me and Jacob to be apart."

Edward's face instantly hardened, "That's not the same thing."

"It's exactly the same thing!" Nessie snapped, "You said you aren't going to force me to do anything, well you're forcing me to be away from the guy I love!"

"You're 4 months old," Edward growled, "You don't know what love even means!"

"I'm 15 years old! Is it my fault that I'm a freak?" she wailed, "Is it my fault that you made me an immortal child?"

"You're not a freak." Edward murmured in a softer tone.

"I am," Ness muttered, "and stop staying that I'm only 4 months old. I'm 15. Live with it."

  "Renesmee, you're upset with me."

She shot him a 'no shit Sherlock' look and collapsed onto her plush bed, burying her face in her pillow. She heard him moving around the room and then felt him sit carefully on the corner of the bed. They both stayed silent for awhile. Edward trying to read his daughter's thoughts; Renesmee doing her best to block them from him.

She must have succeeded because eventually Edward got up and left. Leaving her alone with her jumbled and confused thoughts. Minutes later, Nessie heard the kitchen door slam shut, indicating that her family was gone. Now was her chance to see Jacob again, even if it was just for a little while.

Jacob's imprinting made contacting him easy. All she had to do was think of him visiting her and he came. She quickly changed into some nicer clothing and shook her hair free from the elastic.

   "You called?"

Renesmee dropped the hair brush she was holding and spun around. Damn he was fast.... and shirtless. His jeans hanging dangerously low on his waist. His short hair was slightly wind blown with a few fluffy snowflakes here and there.

"I was lonely, that's all." she muttered, "Me and my dad had an argument."

Jacob's smile slipped and his eyes grew wide in concern, "Are you alright?" he murmured as he drew her into his embrace.

Ness nodded against his shoulder as she breathed in his warm, comforting scent. She loved this. She loved how she instantly felt better just by looking at him. She loved how he was protective and slightly possessive. She loved how he hated her father. But most of all, she loved him.

"I'm sorry my mother hurt you before." Nessie said suddenly, "Y'know, choosing my father over you."

"I'm not," he replied bluntly, "I'm glad."

Nessie quirked an eyebrow, making Jacob chuckle lightly, "If she had chosen me, you wouldn't be here and I wouldn't have imprinted."

"You imprinted on my mom too." Nessie pointed out.

Jacob just shook his head, "Marking and imprinting aren't the same thing. Imprinting is a once in a life time experience."

   "Then what is marking?"

"Marking is the symbol of absolute, undying, true love. Bella's mark faded and went away because she didn't feel the same way as I did." he explained as they settled onto Renesmee's bed, "When a male wolf imprints, it mainly claims the female as his eternal mate."

She thought of that for a moment. Wolves in general always fascinated her, not just because Jacob was a werewolf, but because they were fascinating creatures. She loved that they mated for life it's sweet. Or if one of them dies, his of her mate will stop eating and wait to die too.

Nessie nestled closer into Jake's chest and wrapped her arms around his waist, "Bite me." she whispered into his ear.

His breath hitched, his gazed never leaving hers, "Excuse me?"

Ness planted a lingering kiss on lips before pulling away. She knew this was what she ultimately wanted. She had never wanted anything more that this, that much was painfully clear.

"I want you to mark me." she repeated.
