12. Heathrow Airport

It was about 4 AM on Saturday as Harry and I piled into his Range Rover and headed for Heathrow. We had an early 7 o'clock flight.

When we arrived, we were swarmed by paparazzi.

"Who's this?" "Where are you going?" "Is this your summer fling, Harry?" "What's her name?" An endless string of questions streamed from their mouths.

Harry stopped next to me and I looked towards him. Camera shutters snapped furiously around us.

"Harry come on, we need to catch our flight," I tugged on his arm.

He looked at one of the paparazzi people and said,"She's my girlfriend, so fuck off."

I quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him into the airport.

His brow was furrowed and the tips of his ears were pink. I kissed him and he smiled, his dimple playing across his cheek.

"I don't really care about the publicity. It won't affect me," I smiled at him.

"You say that now, but you'll get hate. Lots of it," he softly said.

"I know, but I'll be able to deal with it." I glanced around the airport. "Now come on, or we're going to miss our flight." I began to pull him towards baggage.

We arrived at our gate and sat down.

"Man, I'm hungry," Harry looked around.

There was a doughnut shop and a Starbucks open close to our gate.

"I'll go get us some coffee," I started to get up.

"No, it's fine, I'll go." he quickly stood up.

I pushed him back into his seat and laughed. "Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I can't do anything by myself."

He looked up at me and sighed. "Okay, but at least let me give you some money."

I walked towards the Starbucks and ordered some coffee and bagels.

A women came up beside me and ordered a coffee as well. I looked at her and gasped.

It was Renee.

She looked at me and her eyes widened.

I said nothing.

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

My hand covered my stomach and I backed away.

She stepped towards me.

"Don't come near me," I warned.

She stepped back again and I relaxed.

"Are you going back to visit your father?" she continued.

I nodded.

"Well I'm going to the states for business," she said.

The barista called my name and I shoved past Renee.

"Well it was nice seeing you!" she called after me.

I grabbed my coffee and bagels and ran back to my gate.

I ran into Harry's arms and sobbed into his shoulder.

"Hey, hey. What's the matter?" he asked quietly.

I sobbed even louder. His arms tightened around my waist and I looked at him. "She's here. Renee is here. In Heathrow and she's going back to the states."

His eyes filled with anger and he said through gritted teeth,"Is she following us or something?"

I shook my head no.

His arms loosened and his eyes softened.

Once I had calmed down, I handed him his coffee. We both ate and drank in silence.

It was now 6 o'clock and people began to arrive at the gate.

Looks were thrown our way as people began to recognize Harry. Camera phones were pointed our way, but it didn't seem to phase Harry.

I squirmed in my seat, feeling very uncomfortable.

Harry put his arm around me and pulled me in close. He kissed my hair and smiled. "Don't worry, you look beautiful."

A teenage girl came up to us and asked for pictures with Harry.

He looked at me and then back to her. "I'm sorry, but I can't right now."

I looked up at him and then to the girl. "Okay," she said. She looked at me,"You're really pretty by the way."

I felt my cheeks get red and smiled nervously at her. "Harry take a picture with her."

He looked at me.

"Take a damn picture before she leaves."

He shrugged and smiled into the girl's camera.

Before she left, she hesitated. "Can I have one with you?" she asked me.

"W-what? Me?" I stuttered.

"Yeah," she smiled.

"Um, sure. Why not?"

She took a picture with me, thanked us, and left.

"You didn't have to do that," he said without looking at me.

"I know, but she seemed sweet."

The flight attendant began to call everyone to board.

I took Harry's hand in mine and stood up.

"You ready?" I asked him.

"Ready as I'll ever be," he answered.

He stood up and kissed my nose quickly.

I grabbed our bags and began to walk towards the tunnel, Harry trailing behind me.

This would be one very interesting weekend.
