Full Moon

Rose has been haunted by dreams; dreams depicting the lives of the Cullen family.
But then Rose goes to the Italian city of Volterra with her class, where strange occurrences will change her whole life.

9. Chapter 8

“I see.” was the only thing Aro says after reading my mind. I waited for something more, but he just went back to his throne.

“Aro? What is it?” Caius asked, annoyed by his own ignorance.

“A very curious case. As unseen by the world as by Anita herself. Yes, curious indeed…” Aro answered cryptically.

“Aro!” Caius nearly shouted.

“My dear brother, it seems as if it is best if Rose tells you herself.” Aro said calmly.

Caius looked at me sharply. I realized that I was really going to tell the story, so I cleared my throat.

“Well… umm… I’ve been having these dreams.” I started.

“Dreams?” Caius asked incredulously. He said the word covered with malice, as if it was poisonous.

“Yes, dreams. At first they were about one person, well no, not one person… more like a… a community or a large family.” I answered.

“Who?” he asked impatiently.

I looked straight in to his red eyes when I answered. "The Cullens."

He was surprised. He looked at Aro as if to be assured and, when Aro nodded, looked back at me to continue.

“So… The dreams are about Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. About how they met and fell in love. How Edward then leaves her, Jacob Black, werewolves, no sorry, shapeshifters. How Bella then follows Edward here to Voltera and saves him from you. About Edward’s promise to you about making Bella a vampire. About their engagement, Victoria and the newborns. Their wedding and honeymoon. Bella’s pregnancy. Their human-vampire child Renesmee. Jacob’s imprint. Their gathering of friends and supporters, their witnesses. Your march against them. How Bella saved them. And... and that’s just about it. Just with a lot more details." I told them.

I could clearly see the surprise in Caius’ eyes. Aro looked amused and understanding. And Marcus still looked utterly… bored. I had no other word for it.

Silence filled the room. I stood there nervously.

Then, at last, Caius spoke.

“How?” was all he said.

Aro answered with a graceful shrug. “We do not know.”

Then Caius realized something. “Aro, imagine what her power must be!” he said, his eyes big.

Aro nodded. “Yes, that has crossed my mind. And it is, of course, the only solution.”

They spoke as if I wasn’t in the room, which was starting to annoy me.

“I’m sorry, what are you talking about? What solution?”

And then it was my turn to be surprised when the before so silent Marcus answered with his deep and grave voice.

“You must become an immortal. A vampire.”
