Full Moon

Rose has been haunted by dreams; dreams depicting the lives of the Cullen family.
But then Rose goes to the Italian city of Volterra with her class, where strange occurrences will change her whole life.

5. Chapter 4

And I was right. We went down with the elevator and stepped out in to a lobby. A classy lobby with wooden walls and green floors. No windows. Instead large paintings of the Tuscan countryside hung everywhere. Leather couches were arranged in small groupings, and there were crystal vases full of colourful bouquets on the tables.

In the middles of it all was a high polished mahogany counter with a woman standing behind it. She was tall with dark skin and green eyes. Beautiful, but not as beautiful as Heidi.

“Good afternoon, Heidi.” she said and smiled at our guide.

“Good afternoon, Gianna.” Heidi replied with a smile that looked a bit forced.

Gianna looked at us with a smile as we passed by. But was that a glimpse of remorse I saw flash across her eyes?

My stomach was churning. Not from hunger, but from fear.

Heidi led us toward a set of double doors in the back of the room. On the other side was another reception hall. She led the way down another hallway, but stopped halfway down. She went to the wall and pushed a piece of paneling aside to expose another wooden door. She opened it and led us through. We entered an old stone antechamber which then opened into a bright, hollow and perfectly round room. In the middle of the room, placed unevenly, were three massive wooden thrones. As I knew they would.
