Summer Love *Harry Styles Love Story*

Marissa is determined to have the most amazing summer ever. Her family, along with her cousin, Louis Tomlinson's family go up to a lake house every summer. This year, Louis brings his four best mates. There's just one problem. Marissa can't stand Harry. And the feeling is mutual.

10. Party (Part 1)

Harry's POV

I really wanted to kiss Marissa. I really wanted to. At first I was kinda pissed off that thwtwo girls intrrupted what could have been a kiss, I was kind of glad. I don't want to rush Marissa into anything she doesn't want to do. Though she did seem kind of disappointed when I restrained from kissing her. Then again, I don't think this was the right time nor place to have our first kiss. I want our first kiss to be special, not forced.

Damn, i'm falling hard, and fast.

Anyways, the girl, Kate, and I had pretty much the same conversation Vienna and I had in Deb. I guess I make it pretty obvious. We didn't talk for long, though I noticed Marissa was talking to the blonde girl a slight blush on her cheeks. She glanced over to me catching my gaze. I bit my lip looking back to Kate feeling a light blush creep onto my cheeks.

"Christa, we have to go." Kate said a few moments later to the other girl who i'm guessing is Christa. Christa mentioned something to Marissa about swapping numbers causing Kate ask for mine. I smiled typing my number into her phone and handing it back. She smirked and leaned closer to whisper something into my ear. "Text me if you need any advice winning her over."

I felt my cheeks heat up, wow, what is this? Harry Styles blushing? What is this girl doing to me?

Once the girls left, Marissa and I decided it'd be smart to head home since it was almost three in the afternoon and she insisted she needed a lot of time to get ready.

"So it's three o'clock now, and the party starts at 8, right? So I have..." She paused while she did the math in her head. "Five hours to get ready! Only five? Oh my gosh.." She trailed off rambling to herself about how much time she needed to get ready. I rolled my eyes.

"Why do you need so much time?" I questioned curious as to why five hours wasn't enough time.

She rolled her eyes. "Well, I need to shower and change which will take about 30 minutes. I have to straighten or curl my hair, whichever I feel like doing, which will probably take close to another hour or so. Then I have to do my nails, and my make-up, so yes, I need a lot of time." She answered.

I rolled my eyes. "God, I am so happy i'm not a girl. All I have to do is shower and change and i'm done."

She shrugged. "It's kind of fun though."

I nodded. "I bet it is, stressing over all that." I said sarcastically. She rolled her eyes. "It's fun for me at least," She paused before groaning. I quirked an eyebrow at her sudden change in mood. "I really wish Kaycee could have come this summer."

I smirked. "Oh, your really hot friend?" I questioned. She was hot, but she was not my type. "You're so disgusting!" She muttered pushing me playfully. I laughed. "Hey, don't distract the driver!"

She rolled her eyes. "Don't say my best friend is hot! It's weird!"

"I was just clarifying that we were talking about the same person." I explained a slight smirk pulling at my lips. She rolled her eyes. "Right..." She said sarcastically.

"If you keep rolling your eyes at me, they're gonna get stuck like that."

I could tell she was resisting to roll her eyes, she settled for a huff instead.

Marissa's POV

I raced down the hallway from my bedroom to the lounge in search of Jay. I had an extremely important question to ask. "Where's Jay?" I asked the boys frantically. They looked to each other and shrugged. "I think she's out on the deck with Anne, why?" Louis asked confused. I ignored his question and sprinted to the deck.

"Jay!" I exclaimed stopping in front of her lounge chair. She smiled setting her book down on the table beside her. "What's up Marissa?"

"I have an important question to ask."

"Go ahead."

"Should I straighten my hair? Or curl it? Or maybe scrunch it? I don't know! I need help!" I groaned.

Jay looked to Anne and smiled, before burting out laughing. I scrunched my eyebrows together in confusion. "Why are you guys laughing?"

"Oh Marissa," Jay sighed. "You haven't changed a bit."

"What does your dress look like?" Anne asked.

"It's like a lavender color with light sparkles all over it. It's one shoulder and the other side has jewels on the strap." I explained.

"Sounds gorgeous." Anne replied.

"And expensive, how much did that cost you?" Jay asked eyebrows raised.

I bit my lip mumbling the price of the dress.

"Hmm? What was that?"

"80." I mumbled again.

I slowly nodded. "Where did you get the money for that?"

"Dad gave me his credit card number."

She sighed outting her head in her hands while Anne laughed lightly.

"She's a 17 year old girl, leave her be."

I smiled. "Thank you!"

She giggled and nodded looking to Jay.

"I think your hair would look gorgeous curled." Anne answered when Anne still hadn't said anything.

I smiled and nodded thanking her before racing back inside.

"What was that about?" Niall asked as I walked through the lounge. "I had to ask Jay a question." I shrugged wanting to get back to my room to finish my hair. "Was it about your hair?" Louis joked. I rolled my eyes. "Actually yeah." I giggled.

"Really? God, you are too obsessed." He chuckled shaking his head. "Whatever, I gotta go finish getting ready."

I looked at myself for the final time in the mirror and smiled. I actually looked...pretty.

I had used my wand to spiral curl my hair, every single strand of it. I giggled moving my head to watch the curls bounce. My hair looked soft and shiney, I loved it.

My green eyes really stood out with the silver eyeshadow around them. I was about five inches taller as well in my silver high heels. I had slipped on a diamond embezzled neacklace that had two hearts intertwined. A charm bracelet hung from my wrist and a ring with a small silver heart hugged my ring finger.

I picked up a tube of lip gloss coating my lips turning them a shimmery pink, and smacked my lips together.

"Marissa! Hurry up!" I heard Louis yell impatiently.

I rolled my eyes grabbing my clutch and slipping my phone in my bra before turning to walk out of my bedroom.

Harry's POV

"Marissa! Hurry up!" Louis yelled impatiently. It was mindblowing how she used so much time to get ready. I heard shuffling coming from her bedroom before she emerged looking more beautiful than ever.

My jaw immediatley feel to the floor looking her up and down.

Oh. My. God.

My breath hitched in my throat meeting her sparkling greenish blue eyes. She offered a small smile before directing her gaze on the other boys.

I couldn't take my eyes off of her. The dress shone in the small amount of light coming from the lamp and it hugged her body in all the right places. In other words, she looked perfect.

"Ready to go?" She asked smiling slightly breaking us all out of our trance. I tore my eyes away from her and glanced around the room noticing the boys all staring with wide eyes and jaws on the ground.

"Yeah, let's go." Louis smiled leading us out the door.

"You like her, don't you?" Zayn smirked. I rolled my eyes. "No way."

"Don't lie to me, it's pretty obvious." He rolled his eyes.

I sighed. "Maybe a little."

"Admit it."

"I just did."

"I mean, don't just say maybe. Tell me you like her." He smirked. I rolled my eyes again walking out the front door.

"I have a crush on Marissa." I mumbled. "You do!?" I heard Niall pipe up from behind us. My eyes grew wide and I shook my head.

"It's okay mate, you can tell me. I won't say anything." he chuckled. I sighed. "Okay, let's just go." I muttered climbing into the car taking the seat next to Marissa, Niall and Zayn behind us, Louis and Liam in the front.

I noticed Marissa was being awfully quiet while she stared out the window. "You okay?" I asked softly, everyone breaking into their own little conversations.

She looked up at me and smiled, though it didn;t reach her eyes. "Yeah, i'm fine. Why?"

There's something wrong.

"You just seem really quiet."

She shrugged looking back out the window. "You look amazing, by the way." I whispered placing my hand on her knee. She smiled her eyes sparkling. "Thanks," She blushed. "You look great too." She smiled biting her lip.

"Harold, keep your hands to yourself." Louis warned looking at us through the rearview mirror. I quickly removed my hand my face heating up. Marissa giggled poking my cheek.

I rolled my eyes batting her hands away.
