Summer Love *Harry Styles Love Story*

Marissa is determined to have the most amazing summer ever. Her family, along with her cousin, Louis Tomlinson's family go up to a lake house every summer. This year, Louis brings his four best mates. There's just one problem. Marissa can't stand Harry. And the feeling is mutual.

9. More Feelings

Harry's POV

"Do you want to get lunch?" I asked Marissa as we walked out of the store. She had decided on getting the purple dress, with a lot of debating involved. The girl who was flirting with me, then decided to help me realize I might have feelings for the girl I used to hate, was actually really nice. I learned her name was Vienna and she really isn't blonde. Her natural color is kind of redish brown.

"Sure." Marissa answered.

While Marissa was changing back into her normal clothes, Vienna and I talked more about my potential feelings for Marissa. She had concluded that our couple name would be 'Harissa' and that if anyone asked it was her idea.

"Sure." Marissa answered. "Where?" I shrugged looking around the food court. "Wherever you want. Pizza, Chinese food, Chik fil a-" She gasped cutting me off. "Chik fil a!! I love Chik fil a!"

I chuckled. "I guess we'll get Chik fil a."

She grinned skipping over to the line while I chuckled following behind her. "Hello, how can I help you today?" A boy who looked to be around our age greeted us. Marissa smiled and started to order while the boy punched things in on the cash register.

"Harry? What do you want?" Marissa asked looking to me for my order. The boys smile faded looking over at me. I gave him my order with a slight smirk on my face knowing that he probably thinks Marissa is off-limits now.

He punched in my order as well and turned to get the drinks. "What's with the smirk?" Marissa asked, eyebrows raised. I quickly wiped the smirk off my face replacing it with a look of confusion. "What are you talking about?"

I'm not very good at acting if you can't tell, I mean, have you seen the iCarly episode? Marissa rolled her eyes as the boy handed her our drinks with a flirty smile. He rung us up and told us our total. I noticed Marissa reaching into her wristlet for money and I put my hand over top of hers to stop her from taking the money out.

"What are you doing?" Wow, de ja vou much? "Paying for the food?" I shook my head reaching for the money in my back pocket. "You're not paying for anything." She rolled her eyes. "I have money, I can pay." She protested as I handed the boy the money. I rolled my eyes. "I don't care if you were a billionaire, I still wouldn't let you pay."

I noticed a small smile on her face as I grabbed the bags that the boy was handing me. "Come on, let's find a spot to sit." I said leading her to a small table in the middle ofthe food court. The mall was pretty packed today for some reason and it was hard to find an empty table.

Once we sat down I noticed that faint smile still present on Marissa's face while she looked at me. I raised my eyebrows in amusment. "What?" I chuckled confused as to why she was looking at me like that. She shook her head and looked down. "Nothing, it's stupid." She mumbled.

I scrunched my eyebrows together. "Just tell me." I told her placing my hand on her knee and giving it a slight squeeze. She looked up at me with her ocean blue eyes, then looked back down shaking her head. "It's stupid." She mumbled again a slight blush on her cheeks. Okay, now I really wanna know.

"Marissa, listen to me. I know we haven't really gotten along very well in the past and you probably don't trust me very much, but you can talk to me. About anything. I promise, i'm here for you." I told her biting my lip.

She looked up at me that same little smile on her pink lips. "I just...I don't know." She sighed looking down again. I squeezed her knee again, reassuring her. "No one's ever done anything like that for me before." She whispered.

A wave of confusion crossed my face. "No one's ever done what for you?"

"I don't care if you were a billionaire, I still wouldn't let you pay." She quoted, that small smile returning. I really loved that smile. It was like when the clouds finally disappear from a rainy day and the sun is shining again. It brightens up the enitre world.

"No one has ever said anything like that to me. I don't  know, I guess it's just," She stuttered trying to find the right words. "I always argue with the guy over who pays and most of the time they give up and let me pay. You don't. You're just as stubborn as me." She giglged at the last part. "I don't know, I told you it was stupid." She said looking down again.

I quickly shook my head. "It's not stupid, it's actually kind of cute." I said taking my bottom lip between my teeth. I felt my face heat up once I realized what I had said. She smiled my way her eyes sparkling.

I didn't realize what was happening, but I found myself leaning in and she was leaning in too. She closed her eyes, hiding the gorgeous shade of blue beneath her eyelids as I closed mine too. Our lips brushed against one anothers when a squeel interrupted us breaking us apart.

I looked around to see what the hell just interrupted what could have been an amazing moment and noticed two teenage girls squeeling to each other looking our way. I guess they're fans. I flickered my eyes to Marissa who was looking down at her fingers in her lap a slight pink on her cheeks.

A few awkward moments later the girls walked up to our table. "You're Harry Styles!" The taller of the two exclaimed. I smiled and nodded. "Yes, I am."

"Could we get a picture?" The smaller of the two asked shyly. "Of course." I smiled reaching for the girls phone that she held out to me. The two girls stood beside me smiling for the camera while I attempted to take the picture and almost dropped the phone.

"Here, let me take it." Marissa smiled.

Marissa's POV

I took the camera from Harry and aimed at the three of them. I hovered my finger over the capture button finding myself lost in Harry's emerald eyes and million dollar smile. I quickly snapped back to reality and hit the button, taking the picture. I smiled handing the phone back to the girl.

I couldn't help but notice that both of these girls were beautiful, absolutley beautiful and I wondered why Harry hadn't been flirting with them. It's not like him to not flirt with the female kind.

The girls looked about our age, maybe a year younger. One had long dark brown straight hair that shined in the light. I've always wondered how to get hair like in the commercials and I always thought it was impossible to have perfect hair like that, but this girl proved me wrong. She looked like something out of a magazine. Tall, skinny, beautiful, everything I wish I was.

The other girl had short dirty blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. She was short and not as skinny as the other girl, but still had the perfect shape. I could easily see these girls as models in a magazine or something.

"You like him, don't you?" The girl with the short blonde hair asked me. I raised my eyebrows. "What? No. No way."

She giggled. "Right, that's why you've been staring at him for the past 2 minutes straight." I felt my cheeks heat up and I glanced over to Harry and the other girl talking. "I have been?" I asked looking back to the blonde girl.

She giggled and nodded. "Pretty much."

"Well, he'd be crazy not to like you." She smiled. I scrunched my eyebrows together. "Why's that?"

She rolled her eyes. "Because you're crazy beautiful!" It was my turn to roll my eyes. I'm not beautiful and I know that. "No i'm not." I glanced back to Harry who was still talking to the girl though his eyes were on me. He blushed and looked away, back to the girl he's been talking to.

"Oh don't say that. You're gorgeous! I wish I looked like you."

I could not believe my ears right now. Is she seriously saying this? I gaped at her. "Are you insane? You're so pretty! Don't say that. You don't want to look like this." I said motioning to myself. She rolled her eyes. "Agree to diagree?"

She giggled along with me. "Well, I think you two would be adorable together."

"Who? Me and Harry?"

"No, you and a unicorn." She said sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes and laughed. "I don't think so."

"You don't think what? That you and Harry would be cute? Or you and a unicorn?" She asked rather loudly.

"Would you keep your voice down?!" I exclaimed hoping Harry didn't hear any of that.

She giggled. "I did that on purpose."

"I know."

We talked for a while more our conversations consisting mostly of her insisting that Harry and I are perfect, and that once we become a couple and go public with it she gets credit for calling it, and me standing there listening to her ramble on about our relationship that doesn't exist and blushing like and idiot.

"Christa, we have to go." The brunette girl that Harry was talking to said to the girl next to me. She sighed. "Okay, here let me get your number before I leave." Christa said to me. I smiled and nodded.

"Oh yeah! Numbers! Here, let me get yours." The brunette exclaimed to Harry.

I swapped numbers with Christa and looked to see the other girl whispering something to Harry and a moment later a faint blush appeared on his cheeks.

I don't like him.

I don't like him.

I don't like him.

I'm not jealous.

I am not jealous.

Okay, maybe I do like him.
