Little Things

This is about a girl, Emily, and she applies for a part in her school play,Romeo and Juliet. When she finds out her crush has the part of Romeo, all she wants is to play Juliet, but when she's up against the most popular girl in the school, Laura, she thinks she has no chance. Or does she...?

11. Audition Time.

The teacher popped her head out again, "Lauren Taylor?" She asked.
We all looked at Lauren as she stood up, "Wish me luck" she said.
"Good luck!!" We said together. She walked into the audition room.
"How do you think she'll do?" I heard Charlotte ask.
"She'll do great!" Rosie replied to her. I turned around, "To be honest, I don't know, I've never actually seen her act!" I shrugged my shoulders, "But I'm sure she'll do great!" I laughed.
I watched the clock's hands moving.. 'Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.' Finally I heard the door squeak open and out came Lauren. She walked out as she waved goodbye. Did that mean it went well? Or not? Then the teacher shouted another name out, "Rosie Bryan?" Rosie stood up as we wished her good luck like we wished Lauren. Just before de went in the audition room he turned around and mouthed, 'I feel sick!' Me and Charlotte giggled. "Rosie, hurry up, we haven't got all day!" Rosie quickly ran into the audition room.

Rosie seemed to be in there for longer but I don't know. When she finally came out, she smiled and put a thumbs up at us before she left, I think that was her way of saying 'it went well'.
As she exited the building, the teacher came out ad asked ft someone else. Seeing as it was only me and Charlotte left in the waiting room, it had to be one of us, "Charlotte Bailey?" Charlotte immediately turned to me, "Oh my god, I don't wanna do this, I feel sick!"
"It's just an audition, no-one will be watching you apart from the teacher. You'll be fine!" I smiled at her. She smiled back and walked towards the door.
I sat silently freaking out, "Oh my god. I'm next. She's going to remember my audition the most because I'm last. Oh my god oh my god oh my god." I stopped. "Pull yourself together, Emily!" I said. I stood up and started pacing back and forth, fiddling with my fingers. Time seemed to go on even longer this time. Maybe it was because Charlotte was doing a longer audition than anyone else, or maybe I was just nervous that I was next so time went on longer to make me more paranoid or maybe- my thoughts came to a halt as I heard the squeaky door open. Out came Charlotte. She smiled at me as I watched her walk out.
"Emily Eastwood?" I heard a voice behind me...
