    I couldn't do anything. I was completely shocked. I didn't see anything, I was sure of it. What could I have seen? And when? All these questions running through my head made me queasy. I quickly got up out of bed and ran to the bathroom. I threw up three times before my stomach settled.
"Honey? Are you alright?" Alan called from the kitchen. He had regained his strength and was making himself some more soup. He walked into the bathroom and saw me laying there on the floor, clutching at my stomach.
"Aw sweetheart, I'm sorry. I must have given you my sickness. Babe, you need to get into bed. Come on, let's get up now" he said apologetically. He lifted me bridal style and carried me to our bed. Then he hopped in the bed himself. I turned on my side, and he curled up with me in his arms. Then I slowly drifted into sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
A dark alleyway. Where am I? What's going on? I kept moving forward, looking around every once in a while. Then I turned out of the alleyway, and on to a barely lit street. This is my street! I'm almost home! I slightly quickened my pace. Why can't I move any faster? I want to go home!
Opening the door to my house, I was overwhelmed with fear. It was completely dark; I couldn't see a thing. I walked over to the switch - click! - and no lights turned on. I frantically flipped the switch over and over to no avail; the power was out. I walked farther into my house cautiously. Something didn't feel quite right.
"Alan? Baby are you there? Alan?" I called out shakily. I was scared. I couldn't see anything. All the light I had was the moonlight streaming from the window. My eyes had finally adjusted to the darkness that incased me. I almost tripped over something in the hallway to my bedroom. Was it the wooden stepping stool? What was it out for? I felt around on it. It had a hole through it. Why? On one side, it was wet. I touched the wetness, and brought it up to my nose. Blood. That's what it smelled like. Blood. Panicked, I burst into our bedroom.
"Alan!! Where are you?! Alan!!!", I shouted. Where is he?!
There was a bit of light coming from the window and shining on the room, illuminating it in such a way it made me shiver. A dark figure was laying on my bed. I went to look at who it was, hoping my worst fear wasn't true. I knew better though. I neared the figure, and looked at the face.
"Alan!! Wake up dammit!!! No! No!!! Alan!" I screeched. Who had done this?! I held Alan's lifeless body and sobbed. He had a bullet hole straight through his stomach; blood seeped onto my shirt. I buried my face in his chest, hoping he would suddenly stir and hold me back. But I knew he wouldn't. He was dead.
"We warned you, and you didn't listen", a voice said, emerging from the closet. They stayed in the shadows but revealed a gun, pointing it straight towards me.
"Please", I whimpered. I put my hands in front of my face protectively, though I knew it would be useless. Then there came the piercing gun shot.
