Cindy Ella (Niall Horan Love Story)

Cindy Ella loves her life! Note the sarcasm, please. Cindy is a maid in a big famous cruise ship. Which is owned by her godmother, which is strict at most of the time. What happens when all of a sudden, her godmother lets loose, for one day, and Cindy meets someone rather 'interesting', you could say?

19. It's Really You

I slid on my golden pencil skirt followed by a white flow blouse. I put on a light shade of red lipstick that went well with my natural makeup. Not that it was going to show since this was a mask party. I put on my black heels and walked downstairs where Lucy was frantically running around the living room apparently looking for something.

"Lucy?" I said grabbing her attention. She stood up staring at me and waiting for me to say something. "What are you looking for?" I tried not to giggle.

"Oh, just my telephone that I misplaced earlier today," she huffed. "Are you all ready?"   I walked over to the flat screen TV, where there was a shelf under it. "Yeah, and this cellphone?" I said waving the phone out to her.

She sighed walking over to me, "Thanks. You look very nice, we should probably get going now." Lucy straightened out the flying hairs that were sticking out. She grabbed her purse off the table and held it against her side as it hung on her shoulder. Her long purple dress swayed as she walked.

"Thank you. You do, too," I said smiling as I followed her out the door.

The building was huge. It was wide and was probably two or three floors. I got out pulling my skirt down, as it rose when I was seated in the car. I put on my gold and pink mask that had an elastic that held it upon my face. My clutch, with its long chain, hug on my shoulder that held my phone and wallet. I grabbed it and quickly typed on twitter, "This will be fun."

The doors were opened by the two security guards outside. Lucy and I walked in looking at what seemed to be many many people. Everyone had masks on, some were holding them by a stick, others were held by elastics, like mine. I looked over at Lucy.

"Dear, go ahead and mingle. Make friends, just know, you'll be performing at eleven thirty, alright?" Lucy said with a hand on my shoulder. I nodded and she walked over to some older people that were seated at a table. I sighed thinking how was I going to make friends at this rate. I'm a shy awkward boring person, I guess.

I looked to my left where the table with small snacks and drinks were. 'Let's stay away from the alcoholic drink', I reminded myself. I walked over and took a glass from the table filling it with punch. I leaned against the table a little while taking a sip from the drink. I took a look at the clock which read ten forty-one.

"Cindy Ella?" someone said behind me startling me.

"Um, hi," I said quietly turning to the person. He looked familiar behind the mask. "How did you know it was me? Is it that noticable?"

"Oh, your aunt told me," he said pointing with his thumb back where I could see it was Lucy.

"She's not my aunt, just a friend," I said smiling. I pressed my lips together, trying to figure who it was behind the mask.

"Are you ready to perform? It's in like fifty minutes," he said putting his hands into his jeans.

"Oh yeah, you?" I asked back noticing it was Adam.

"Yes, well, I think. I'm just really nervous!" he said waving his arms up.

I shook my head laughing. "I think we all are, but we practiced and we'll do great," I said and he nodded in agreement. "I hope," I muttered under my breath taking another sip of my drink.

"I heard that," he chuckled, "we'll do fine, like you said. C'mon, let's go sit down." He turned on his feet and walked to the nearest table which to my surprise had nobody sitting there. "Quite a party, huh?"

"Yep, it is," I said taking a seat. My eyes wandered around the room trying to find a certain someone.

I don't know why I was so caught up on finding him. He was only on vacation. He is Irish and we are in Ireland. He could be with the other boys or maybe, he's here with them. Niall Horan could be here, but how could I know?

"Cindy!" Adam yelled. I snapped my head to face him shocked. "Are you listening?" he chuckled.

"Um," I started but, really, I wasn't listening. Adam was nice, but I've only really spent two days with him practicing. He's really nice and we're becoming good friends, but I was interested in something else, someone else. I need to get it out of my head.

"I was asking you if you've ever been to such a New Year's party?" he asked smirking, obviously because I was lost.

"Well I don't really go to parties," I chuckled, "well except one time." I fiddled with my fingers as it got closer to the time to go up. "What about you?"

"I mean not as big as this! I've been to a few high school parties and college parties," he said shrugging.

We sat there chatting a few more minutes until someone got to our table. "Can we sit here?" It was a British accent.

"Sure!" Adam said giving a bright smile with his straight teeth. I laughed at his excitement and turned around to see five boys taking a seat. "You guys performing?"

"Yeah! We're after a duet," one of them said. I smiled knowing that the duet they were talking about was probably me and Adam.

"Probably us," Adam said, as if he could read my mind. I nodded.

"Are you guys dating?" One of them asked and I raised my eyebrow.

"No!" I said then laughing as I leaned into my seat.

"Hey, it's your turn," I heard Lucy say behind me. I nodded looking over at Adam, and he nodded understandably. I got up from my seat, and walked around the various tables finally getting to the stage. I climbed up onto the stage, with Adam behind me. One of the guys handed me a microphone and set Adam's microphone on the stand. He put his guitar over his shoulder and walked to the center. I followed behind him looking out in front of me. There were hundreds of people.

"Hello! Hope you guys enjoy this," he said into the microphone. He sounded so chill, how could he be so chill? I smiled and waved out into the audience. I looked at the people, some smiling, and some with a poker face just waiting for us to start. There was also the ones that weren't even paying attention.

"Do you hear me? I'm talking to you," Adam started after playing the first notes of the song. My nerves started to calm as I started singing, and I got carried away into the song. It felt wonderful, I just loved it.

I snapped out of the trance when all I heard was clapping from the audience. "Thank you," we said and bowed. We started walking down the stage and the five boys with their mask were walking towards us.

"Cinderella, it's you." I heard someone say making me look back and smile.
