The Adventures Of Binkleman The Brave

In memory of my dear little kitten Cougar who was nearly 2monthes old when he sadly passed away. Also in memory of the main character in this book. My sweet little Binx who became my first little black cat and died a while back now. This book is dedicated to my boy Nathan who I finally got back because what happens in '!No Nathanial No!' really happened. I miss Cougar & Binx but at least I still got my dear Nathanial. Hope you enjoy then, this may seem stupid to some but I promised Binx I would finish all the series and so here they are. (UNFINISHED)

46. Leaping Lizards

We decided we should continue our journey now. So we walked on and on into the forest. The trees seemed to have disappeared. There was scorched sandy ground and wired looking cactus and rocks here and there. It was rather boring here I must admit. But we were not alone. We saw a few lizard like creatures here and there. A few strange looking birds flying in circles high above us, obviously with vulture characteristics. They also probably expect us to die out here. It is really hot, and I'm so thirsty, there's probably no water or food for miles. It's probably all rotted away with the head and also dried up all the river beds. I don't have a clue why my fake mother wanted to drag us out here. I hope we don't stay too long. I realized while as she began chancing strange, tiny lizards. She caught about 7 of the little guys. She seemed content with how many we had as we ate away and she began to leave. That's when we first saw them. Some peculiar looking lizards were coming out from there hiding places. They had frilly leathery looking skin, like a blooming flower all around there neck. It reminded me of a lions main, but with no fur and rather smooth looking. It made them look like living flowers. They had wired looking snake tongues that stuck out and wriggled around a little before going back in there tightly shut mouths. They did not look very happy to see us. They were much bigger than the tiny lizards our fake mother had caught. A few of the birds that were circling us landed on the many cactus around us. They looked hungry and probably knew something we didn't. I did not like the look of either of the terrible species around us. One looked hungry, the other rather angry. I tried to communicate with the lizards. I could tell that we had stolen there food, the lizards of course. Also we were on there territory. I meowed up at my fake mother and she seemed to understand as she nodded then gave a meow to the lizards. We then all walked way, back the way we came, as that was the quickest way back to civilization, if that's what you call it. The lizards and birds followed us from the ground and sky all the way back to the forest before leaving.
