Beautiful Pain

Teddi has been beatin, brusied and neglected by her mother ever since her dad left them. One day her mother pushes her over the edge by throwing a beer bottle at her and it smashing into the back of her left arm. Raged, she packs a bag and leaves for the ER and not planning to come back. In the parking lot she passes out and an innocent bystander to the rescue. Harry to the rescue I should say. Once Harry helps Teddi he feels a deep connection between them. He feels as though he's responsible for her. Keeping her safe is becoming one of his first priorities. Not only for a crack in the road but of her abusive mother. Will he keep her out of the harmful grasp of her own mother or will she slip away back into a dark painful life?

   Harry's POV:

I was so happy when Teddi said yes to comming with us to Austrillia. I could see it in her eyes that nothing had changed about her perspective of me. To her, I was still that same Harry that let her stay with him until she got back to where she needed to be.  I was so thankful for that. We were now unloading our luggage at HQ and going inside. She looked around like a torrist at a natural park but she remained calm and cool about it.

The bad thing was, I had to break it to Paul that she was coming with us. I didn't know how he was going to react. Hopefully he was in a good mood and got all of his eight hours of sleep. I still had spoken to the boys, telling them to casually remove Teddi from what ever room we were in, after a minute or two, so I could tell him privately and make sure he would yell just at me and not Teddi. I couldn't stand to think that she would ever consider herself a bother or an interruption because she wasn't. And I didn't want Paul to think she was just a tag along shag.

"Hello, boys." Paul said coming down the hallway, carrying a large coffee in his hands. "How are we today?" He asked.

"Really good."  we all said. He still hadn't noticed Teddi so I knew I would have to introduce her formally, dear god.

"Paul," I said a little worriedly.

"Yeah? What is it Harry?" he asked looking concerned

"I'd like you to meet someone." I gently took Teddi's hand off my back were she had placed it a minute ago and stepped behind her. "This is Teddi." Behind me I heard the boys start to create banter. They babbled on about randome things and I was thankful. This would give Paul about a minute to collect his thoughts. After a moment of silence Teddi spoke.

"Hi" she said shyly and stuck out her hand. "It's very nice to meet you." she smiled and backed into me as if she needed to know I was right behind her. I placed my hand on her back and she seemed to calm down slightly. Paul looked over her, his eyes filled with concern and wonder.

"Well, hello." he said, sounding a little confused, "Very nice to meet you as well." he took her hand and gave it a light, quick shake and began to talk business. "Well boys, I thank you for getting here on time and We'll be loading up the plane in a few minutes to head off. The flight is about nine hours so you better not get into any arguments before or during the flight because I can assure you it would be quite a long ride." he smiled at us and turned to consult with the pilot and other important people.

Teddi turned to me and smiled but I could tell there was something wrong.

"What's the matter love?"  I asked her.

"I've never been on an airplane before." she confessed.

"Oh, it'll be alright." assured her, "I've ridden on millions of planes and I'm still in one peace." I smiled at her and her eyes were cleared of fright and it was repalced with releife. She let out a small breath. We all walked down the wide hallway , to a room far off to the right. Opening the door, I saw the familiar faces of our team.

"Hello, boys." they all said to us

"And girl." I piped, sitting down next to Teddi. Paul entered the room, behind us and didn't have the happiest look on his face. When our eyes met I could tell there was a hint of anger.

"Hey," Teddi whispered to me, "Do you mind if I could use the toilet for a moment?" she asked me

"Yeah, sure." I said. "Guys," I turned to the boys ,"Would anybody like to show Teddi to the toilet?" I asked. All their eyes brightened, understanding what I had told them to do earlier.

"THE TOILET!" they all shouted and roused up even more banter and arguments as they whisked her away and out the room. I looked at Paul and he closed the door behind himself and sat down across from me at the small table.

"Harry..." he began, but I didn't let him finish. "I know, you don't like us bringing girls but Teddi isn't just a random one. She's a friend and I'm just helping her out. I carried her into the ER when I saw her pass out. She said that she had no place to go so I offered. She didn't know about the band and I only told her yesterday. I can tell you that she is the most understanding, normal  person I've met in a long time and I couldn't just leave her there by herself. I really care about her. I'm sorry." I looked him in his eyes, and he started to lighten up.

"You fancy her." he said a little jokingly.

"Yeah, I do , but I only met her a few days ago and I don't want to move to fast and creep her out and overwhelm her with my life. I really want to keep her around." I smiled at my hands in my lap, noticing how happy she made me. I couldn't help it.

"Alright." Paul said getting out of the chair and opening the door to look down the bright hallway. "Here they come. And good luck with the girl. She seems like a nice one." He winked at me and I smiled. They entered the room, still bantering. Teddi just sat beside me and we gazed into each others eyes. I could stare into her eyes forever. They were so beautiful it made my heart melt. When ever our eyes met it seemed as though the whole world dissolved around us and we were the only two left. I wouldn't mind that one bit. I might miss Louis a little but I would definitely learn to cope. I wanted to kiss her right then and there but I knew I shouldn't. Take it slow.
