1. TERRITORIES

i was naked,
writhing.
pain coated my tongue in blood;
modesty stabbed through
my barrier of skin
and addled
my morals.
confused, i traipsed away.
i don't suppose that
you've heard of me?
have you?
oh,
well,
i guess i'll just
traipse away.
i found a towel -
wrapped it around my bruises.
fear had nothing on me
tonight
tomorrow
yesterday
i sailed to a velvet universe.
then, missed the vastness of its
sad, wet sky and the
translucent windows where
delicious time
streamed by and
my prisoner voice
haunted him and
i bled life;
i was
that blue-eyed, ghost child
