Man Down

'Through all the mayhem and madness of central station I had still managed to hit my target. He was finally down. Justin Bieber was finished forever. I was the girl who killed the Justin Bieber, I was the girl who took his heart when I pulled out my gun. It was me; Brooke Olivia James.' Only three years after Justin got into the wrong business, has it come back to bite him.

Brooke’s P.O.V;

Abi had come around ten minutes after I stepped in the door. She dropped Jake down into the hall and he ran straight to my legs. I bent over and wrapped my arms around his small body.

“Hey baby, how was your day with Auntie Abi?” I asked him smiling at his cheeky grin

“It was goooood!” he yelled I chuckled and let him down. He immediately rushed up stairs to his room and I heard the door slam shut.

I looked at Abi who looked happy but tired. “Take it outta you again?” I asked knowingly. She nodded and I couldn’t help but laugh.

I ushered her through to the sitting room and she sat on the sofa curling her lags under her. I joined her a few minutes later with a glass of wine for us each and some chocolates.

“How was your day?” She asked eyeing me.

I swallowed the truffle I had popped into my mouth and spoke “It was good” I said quickly “Yours?”

Abi’s eyes widened “You met a guy?!” she hissed playfully.

I shook my head “No no, I never met any guys. I bumped into one in the shop,” I laughed remembering the cart incident. “We spoke for all of five minutes then I left” She nodded listening intently to my small recollection of today’s events.

“Didn’t you flirt and get his number? Was he hot? What was his name?!” she shot questions at me. I smiled and shook my head once more.

“No! I have Jake to think about! Yes he was kinda cute, and his name was Craig” I replied cooly. Abi snorted “You know I’ll look after Jake anytime, why didn’t you get yo’self in there?!” She winked and I laughed hard.

“It’s been a while Abi, I wouldn’t know how to flirt.” I shuddered. I’m a bad flirt. Anything to do with hooking up with the opposite sex just confuses me. I can’t do it and when I try, I fail.

Abi smiled and touched my arm lightly, as if she read my mind she looked at me and spoke “Sweetie, don’t be hard on yourself. You’re perfectly amazing, and it doesn’t take a genius to flirt, which is good because you aren’t one.”

I held my hand to my chest in mock horror and giggled “True, but that’s the blonde genes for you”

Abi and I laughed for a longer period of time before she looked at her phone. “Oh look at the time! I have to go or else Johnny will not know what to do with himself.” I nodded and stood up.

Abi followed me to the front door and shouted ‘Bye’ to Jake before I opened it. She hugged me warmly and smiled pulling away “Sweetie get yo’self back in the game, you’re young. Don’t tie yourself down. Whenever you need a babysitter I’m happy to help.” I smiled big and thanked her the giggled.

“I doubt Johnny is happy about his ‘fun’ being cut short though Abi” I winked and she swatted me playfully before leaving.

I shut the door and walked back through to the sitting area. I slouched down on the sofa and flicked the tv on. I channel hopped until the recent rendition of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ came on. I was a sucker for old romantic love stories and ‘Romeo and Juliet’ was one of my favourites.

Soppy start crossed lovers are just the best. I chuckled and pulled down my sleeves dabbing away some instant tears that had spilled over my eyelids.
