Take Care

**Sequel to What Humans Do**
It's been seven years since the day I told Harry Styles we had to break up because our publicity stunt was now over. He told me to wait till I was 26, then we could get back together and be happy. So, I waited. I waited until I got a phone call the day after my 26th birthday from Harry, inviting me to a wedding. HIS wedding, to be exact. I knew I had to get Harry back. I'm not going to let seven years of waiting be wasted. I needed him back. And so the plotting began.

4. Help I'm Alive

**Song of the chapter: Help I'm Alive by Metric

Sweaty palms. Heart beating rapidly. I didn't want to move. But Harry kept nudging me to continue on, so I had to. I didn't expect her to be at the airport with him.

Either she was closer than I thought or I was just so involved with my own thoughts I didn't realize how quickly we approached her because I looked up and there she was. Even prettier up close. Damn her.

"Hi! I'm Lacie! You must be Rue, right?" she asked in her annoyingly perfect voice.

I wanted to say "No, I'm just some random girl you're fiance ran towards screaming 'Rue' to, stupid." but I didn't. I was going to be polite. "Yeah, that's me."

She extended her hand, which I took, and said "Shall we get going, then?"

Harry and I nodded our heads and he took her hand. That hurt a little, but I tried to play it off. We walked towards the Mustang GT and I was a little shocked when he handed her the keys and she got in the drivers seat.

We sat in the car for about twenty minutes before we reached a busy road and we were parked, waiting for the traffic to pass and let us go. Lacie was a perfect girl. Perfect personality, face, attitude, everything.. I was nothing next to her. Just some old gymnast who was stupid enough to wait for a man for seven years.

Lacie turned her body around to face me, a serious look graced her stupidly beautiful face. Harry followed her pattern."I know I've only just met you about thirty minutes ago, but, Rue, I have an important question... Will you be my maid of honor? It's just that Harry speaks so highly of you and trusts you so much! I've been saving the spot because I knew I'd want you to be the maid of honor. So, what do you say?"

I hoped I didn't look as shocked as I felt. I had JUST met this woman? Why would I accept that offer?! "Of course, Lacie! I'd love to!" At my statement she let our a squeal and went to hug me. The car wasn't in park so the moment her foot left the pedal we jerked forward. Thankfully, the car infront of us was far enough to not get hit by the time Lacie put her foot back on the break. 'What an idiot!' I thought to myself.

Harry had an annoyed look on his face. Cars were like his child. I don't even know why he let her drive. That's her one flaw; She can't drive worth shit. She gave him an innocent smile out of the corner of her mouth and Harry's annoyed face turned to a smiling one.

Time passed, even though the traffic didn't. We sat in the same spot for about 15 minutes longer, giving me enough time to ponder over my word splurge that just occured. At the beginning, I was internally beating myself, but as time passed, I grew tired of beating myself and thought of the postive things. I had agreed to get close to Lacie. To see what makes her tick, to see what flaws lie beneth her perfect exterior.

This was an advantage, a big one that I hadn't intended. It made my job of getting Harry back easier. The wedding was in three days. Three short days to get the love of my life back.

I could do this, right?

So, if you haven't noticed, this chapter is a bit shorter than my other ones. Sorry, I'm just having some writers block. Comment with some ideas, please! :(

And one more thing; imagine Lacie as Bridget Medler! I love her!

That's it! La revendere! (Goodbye in Romanian)
