Take Care

**Sequel to What Humans Do**
It's been seven years since the day I told Harry Styles we had to break up because our publicity stunt was now over. He told me to wait till I was 26, then we could get back together and be happy. So, I waited. I waited until I got a phone call the day after my 26th birthday from Harry, inviting me to a wedding. HIS wedding, to be exact. I knew I had to get Harry back. I'm not going to let seven years of waiting be wasted. I needed him back. And so the plotting began.

6. Around My Head

Song of the Chapter: Around My Head by Cage the Elephant

"Mother, this is Rue, my maid of honor!" Lacie introduced me to her mum. She looked like an older version of Lacie. The blonde hair, only shorter, the brown eyes, and the fair skin.

"Rue, dear. It's a pleasure to meet you. I hear you're an Olympian? What sport do you do?" Her mum asked me.

I offered an innocent smile and replied, "I'm a gymnast. I've been in the 2012, 2016, and the upoming 2020 Olypmics. That's my last one, a gymnast is only good for so long, especially an injured one. I'm last one of my original team, the rest are all starting families now."

"Oh, why haven't you? Started a family, I mean?"

"You're daughter decided to come into the Harry's life and ruin our seven year plan which resulted in my looking like a stupid idiot for waiting for a man for seven years, only to be replaced by a girl with a terribly perfect personality." is what I felt like saying, but I knew better. "I just haven't found the right one yet." Wrong. You have the right one. You just need to get him back.

"Ah, well, you're a pretty woman, I'm sure you'll find someone." With that, our conversation ended. She turned back around, which was a little rude, and Lacie dragged me to meet the rest of the people.

With about 45 women, all who were talkative, and a million hugs later, I was finally releashed and allowed to go to the game. I checked my watch and saw that it was probably the beginning of half time now.

For some reason, Lacie said she would take me, which she didn't have a car here with her, so it surprised me. Gemma stepped in, saying it was Lacie's party and that she should stay, that she would take me.

"Those women never shut up. They are all Lacies family members. Practically all clones, it's rather terrifying!" Gemma said as she called a cab and we were seated. She told the cab driver where to go and started speaking again. "Really, though! How many similiar looking peple can you have in one room! And they are so touchy-feely! I do not like them! Stop laughing, Rue, I'm serious!"

I couldn't help but laugh at her reaction. She started laughing, too. Seeing as the stadium wasn't far, we reached our destination before we finished our laugh fest. Gemma paid the man and we got out of the cab and walked into the amazing stadium. Gemma led the way, we traveled up one flight of stairs, around many corners, and up to a man in an official looking uniform. She said something to him, which caused him to shake his head and open the door for us.

"By the way, mum wasn't at the dinner because she was here, if you were wondering," she whispered to me right before we entered the room.

I was pleased to see what I had. Niall and Madelyn, Louis and Lauryn, Darcy and Andrew, Tom and Kaylyn, and Zayn were all there with excited faces. I had only talked on the phone with the girls, other than Darcy, so i hadn't seen them in a while, same with the boys. I stood frozen while Harry came and stood infront of them and started my movement by giving me a hug. I let go of him early than he wanted because I had to remove his hands and I walked over to the girls.

It was silent because, for some reason, I started crying. Everyone was getting married and everyone was starting families. And here I am. Rue Rotar. The 26 year old virgin who is forever alone with her cats. I'm already up to five cats in my home. I was pitiful, I know.

"Rue, why are you crying?" Madelyn asked me.

I lied and told them I was just overwhelmed because I'd missed everyone so much. I did miss them, but that wasn't why I was crying. I knew they were coming, too, so I don't know how they actually believed me.

"Let's watch the game now," I said because I was tired of being surrounded. I went and sat next to the only other alone who was there. Zayn.

"So.... Why don't you have a date here?"

His attention was pulled from the match that was beginning and looked at me. He examined my face for a minute, which made me kind of uncomfortable.

"Do I have something on my face?" I asked as I started rubbing my face in embarrasment.

"No, I was just looking. And I just didn't want a date. You know, the typical groomsman, looking for the single bridesmaids... Or maid of honor, in this case." He said with a wink.

My eyes grew big and I turned my body towards the game, giving an awkward laugh. "Ahhh, yeah?" was the only form of a reply I could manage. I know he was joking, hopefully, but I felt kind of awkward.

"I'm going to go and get a drink."

"Alright, I'll come with you."

Zayn got up after me and joined me at the end of the isle. He put his hand on my lower back and led me up the stairs and towards the doors. I glanced over at Harry and saw that he was staring at me with a blank expression and kept glancing at Zayn's hand location. I smilied at myself for two reason; I had made Harry jealous and I kind of liked Zayn's hands on me.

NO UPDATES FOR A FEW DAYS; I'm having a Harry Potter marathon with my best friend, it's Thanksgiving, Black Friday, then I work. Sorry guys!
