16. Chapter 16

Jeremy's POV

Dinner with Margo and Justin was a bit awkward, they were still trying to convince me to let them come with. I told them that it would be better if it was just me and that I don't want to overwhelmed Laurel. I have a feeling that they're planing something but whatever it is I hope it don't mess up my time with Laurel. Well it's 6:30 a.m. I can't sleep any longer so I'll just get ready and make some breakfast for Margo and me. I think I might leave around 9-9:30 that way I can get there and get my nerves under control if thats even possible. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed everything I needed so I can start before Margo wakes up, this must be so strange for her I hope this don't shake up our relationship. I started the hash browns, chopped up some fresh fruit and a spinach and mozzarella egg bake Margo's favorite.Everything was just about done when I heard her walk in the kitchen.

"Mmm it smells amazing in here darling." Margo said holding her stomach. "So how are you doing, you still nervous?" She walked up behind me wrapping her arms around my waist. I turned around and held her tight and kissed her forehead.

"I am but you make me better, I love you babe!" I said looking into her eyes.

"I love you too!" She said as as she stole a strawberry.

"I haven't seen her since she was two years old I feel like my heart is going to jump out of my chest." I explained.

Margo grabbed my face she looked me in the eyes and told me. "You can do this, if you're her father you'll do whats right. Your a great father to Justin and then when we have our own you'll just get even better." She explained.

"Thanks, I really needed to hear that." I said as I kissed her on the cheek.

"I'll set the table, do you want orange juice?" She asked as she grabbed the glasses from the cupboard. I just nodded my head yes.

After we ate I went upstairs and took a shower and then got ready it was a quarter till 9:00 so I walked downstairs and found Margo on the phone.

"Hold on mom, Jeremy just came in the room." She said into the phone.

"I'm going to head out now I'll call you while I'm waiting okay I love you babe." I said as I gave her a hug.

"Are you sure it's so early and it'll only take you about a half hour to get there?" She looked very concerned.

"Yeah I'm sure, don't worry I just want to have time to settle my nerves." I hugged her and gave her a kiss good-bye.

Margo's POV

I watched Jeremy get into the car and slowly drive off. "Hello…Hello!" Said the small voice on the other end of the line.

"Oh I'm sorry I forgot you were there Justin why don't you come over as soon as you can so we can head over to Santa Monica. Who's driving?" I asked. To give him 20 minutes or so to get here and that he'll drive. I agreed and hung up. I got dressed did my make-up, made sure everything was locked up and made sure the stove was off and grabbed another strawberry. Just as I walked outside when Justin came through the gate. I opened the car door, got in and then he took off. I laughed so hard when I turned to look at him he had a fake beard, hat and sun glasses on.

"What's so funny does it look bad?" He asked.

"No it's not that, it was just a surprise, it looks so real." I laughed.

"Oh okay I just thought this would be better." He said.

"It's a really good idea." I told him. "So I was thinking we'll just hangout around the pier until we spot her. Do you still have the picture?" I asked.

"Yeah I do how bout you?" He asked while he stroked his beard.

"Oh my god, yes I do." I laughed as I watched him play with the beard. This is going to be a long ride.

Laurel's POV

I woke up to Amanda and Louis jumping on the bed. "Ugh what time is it, shit I got to get ready I'm going to be late!" I shouted and jumped out of bed. They both looked at me and just started laughing. "What…why are you laughing at me?" I cried.

Louis jumped off and grabbed my hand and walked me over to the chair in the corner by my huge window and said. "L you need you need to calm down it's only 9:45you have plenty of time to get ready." I looked up at him and then the clock on my desk a smile grew on my face.

"Okay, I'll get dressed and maybe we'll go to the diner and get some food before we head to the pier." I suggested.

"Okay sounds like a plan, we'll go get ready too." Amanda said as she walking out of the room behind Louis.

"Ugh what am I going to wear oh yeah a purple shirt" It's mom's favorite color and some nice jeans. I really didn't do anything with my hair maybe some curl tamer and a flower clip. I looked at myself in the mirror checking everything…Okay well this is me I hope he accepts me, Oh what am I thinking I'm fine. I still can't shack this anxious feeling, Ugh I better go get something to eat so I don't faint or something. I walked down stairs to find Louis and Amanda they were out on the balcony sitting and laughing.

"Thank goodness it's nice out huh?" I said out loud, they both stood up and agreed.

"Ok lets go get some grub before we meet your maybe daddy." Louis laughed rubbing his belly.

I haven't been able to get a hold of Aunt Terri so I left her a note saying that we were going to the diner to eat and then to the pier to meet Jeremy Davis. I know she had a meeting with guy who wanted to buy moms business today. I made sure to have my phone on me in case she called. Then we just walked up to the diner it's only down the block and then we'll head down to the pier. I love living in walking distance of everything important to me. The diner was full of tourist it was nice seeing parents with their kids talking, laughing and planning the day.

"Hey Laurel darling!" Said a voice from behind the counter.

"Hello Sandy, how are you today?" I asked walking towards to her and giving her a huge hug.

"Oh you know me darling I'm just living the good life, how are you doing?" She asked.

"I'm ok, well there's something I have to tell you." I said nervously.

"First how about you take a seat at the counter, it's the only space I got." She said as she pointed to the three free seats.

Louis walked up to Sandy giving her a hug and kiss on the cheek then he said. "So Sandy when are you going to leave your husband for me?" Ha ha he was talking in his sexy voice while he kept his hand on the small of her back.

"Oh Louis baby your such a charmer, but I really don't think you can handle all of this lovin'!" She said as she walked away giving him a wink. He just chuckled and sat in his seat by Amanda.

"So honey what's up?" She said as she handed us our menus but we waved them away. "Your usual?" We nodded yes. "You know there are other things on the menu." She scuffed as she called out our orders.

"I not in the mood for anymore change today." She gave me a strange look and then fixed her eyes on me. "Okay I'm going to meet Jeremy Davis today at the pier at noon." I squint my eyes waiting for her to get all motherly and go crazy on me but she didn't. She just stood there with a huge smile on her face and she leaned over the counter and gave me a hug.

"You doing the right thing baby, tell me everything!"she said. "I'm on break no one bug me." She yelled to everyone. I wonder if he's here already? So I started to explain everything that happened to me yesterday.
