8. tea

I breathed in the musty air from the living room, the bright white light from the sun flooded in from the window. I could see myself clearly in the mirror from the other side of the room. Nothing has changed since dad got up this morning, he obviously didn't have time to clear up the tea-stained cups.

What was on his mind?

Wait a minute, there's only one cup and there was three in the dining room. I walked over to the little coffee table which stood in the corner, severall black, looming chairs surrounding it. My parents allways (they don't drink any other type of tea) has Earl grey. They allways buy off of the same company, too. But when I looked down at the tea-cup, it didn't smell or look like Earl grey. A few droplets of this tea-like drink surronded the cup, still wet. Who ever had this cup of tea had it so recently, I placed one of my fingers in to the watery substance on the table and tasted it.

The substance was like blood ; tasted of metal. I shivered and spat it out, it was disgusting. Suddenly I didn't feel right, a bit faint and dizzy. I was icey cold to the bone, felt wet to the touch even though I hadn't swam, washed my hair or had previously been in a rain-storm of any kid ; or what I was aware of. My bones went hard; locking into a peculiar posistion. I looked into the mirror, my face had gone deathly white. The iris's not present, my eyeballs completely white. It was as though someone wanted me to do something, something important. Though it was as though they wanted something else, they wanted me.

"Help me!" I let out a muffled, painfull noise.

I could see my hair, once before a bright ginger, now a white-blonde. My iris's had come back but a deep blood red instead of a sky-blue. I couldn't see my freckles, which where extremely prominate before, covering my face like a blanket

I was scared, not just scared, scared for my life. I didn't know what was happening and why it was happening to me. Was it some kind of punishment? I didn't know. I was in so much pain, I wanted to move my legs but it was as though they had been locked into posistion. I tried to lift my head, but it was again stuck down to the floor. It was as though someone had stuck me down with superglue, all down my back and onto the carpet ; some kind of invisable superglue. My eyes suddenly clamped down shut, pain was the only concious feeling I had.

I could feel as though someone was watching me, a invisable force that was not known to me had got me and wanteed to change me into something non-human. I could feel it's presence beside me, knees beside my abdonman. It's scrawny, white arms on my pale kneck. It's eyes watching my every painfull move I made.

Suddenly I heard the front door slam against the coat-rack. And as suddenly as the presence became known to me, it vanished into thin air, as though it was never there before. I heard my dad call out my name and the front door slam shut. I heard the patter of feet hurrying down the hall way. The mutter of panic stricken parents who didn't know if their beloved child was dying.

Dad said "The time has come." I wondered then what he meant, not thinking twice about it. I was obviously upset what happened to Alexis, but I couldn't have stopped it. I just went back to sleep, and many hours later I think I see Alexis outside with a boy, and this happens.

I heard the panic stricken voices of my parents once again; realising that they were next to me, trying to help me to stay alive. I could hear dad's muffled voice saying : "It's all my fault."

I couldn't stand any more of this painfull and possibly drawn out death; if incase it was one. I just slipt into an easy, some what comfortuble yet scary darkness. My eyes simply clamped down harder.
