3. Chapter 3

Lily's P.O.V.

It was so cold now that the wind had picked up. The thunder claps came out of nowhere, scaring me half to death. Why did I have to throw my boots into the middle of nowhere? I slapped my forehead multiple times, each time saying, "Stupid...stupid...stupid."

"What's your name?" he whispers into my ear.

I giggle before answering, "Lily."

"What a coincidence," he smiles before pulling out a bundle of actual lillies from behind his back.

I gasp as I place my hand on top of my mouth. "Are you serious?" I yelp, trying to hold back the tears.

"Yeah, they're all yours gorgeous," he says as he hands them to me.

I scramble my head for something witty or cheeky to say, but instead I end up stuttering, "Th-thank you Justin." Justin just handed me lillies. He knows my name. He's at the same flower shop as me. He is talking to me!

"Lilly?" he asks, a worried expression on his face.

"What?" I ask, snapping out of my starstruck moment.

"Oh, I thought you were just starstruck," he says, stroking my cheek. I feel the blood instantly rush to my face, but that only makes Justin chuckle.

"I..." I begin saying, but I am literally at a lost for words. "I'm sorry," I whisper as I feel the tears begin to flow down my face.

"No, no, that's totally fine," he says as he wraps his arms around me. After a few moments of sniffling, Justin lifts up my chin to wipe away the remaining tears. "It's ok," he whispers.

I look into those big brown eyes of his, where I can see so much emotion. This is so surreal; I'm surprised I'm still breathing.

"...stupid," I said one last final time. I looked down at my gold watch, which stated it is a quarter to twelve.  I had been walking for nearly an hour. Why did the party have to be so far away from civilization?

As I walked some more, I saw the lights from the headlights of an oncoming car. Instead of speeding away, the headlights slowed down until it reached a complete stop. Either this was my rescue or my rapist. I didn't know what to do. I was literally the deer caught in the headlights.
