5. Joe Or Justin?

Elise stood there, the bitter London winds slapping her in the face. She couldn't believe what Justin was saying. What was the thing she didn't know? And why was that girl taking a picture of them?

"What do I not know?" Elise asked him in a demanding voice.

He looked down at the ground. "Well . . . Elise, I can't pretend anymore. I'm not Joe and I'm not here for work experience, I'm here on tour," Justin explained to Elise, looking up from the ground on the last work.

That's when Elise realised where she had seen those eyes before . . . and the hair, the face, everything. Courtney had this face splattered across all her walls. It was Justin, Justin Bieber the person she had admitted only a few days ago that didn't mean anything to her. And yet here he was, standing right in front of her.

"I think you know already," he said trying to hide himself from the crowd of girls that were now pointing at him and shouting.

"It, it can't be," Elise said as she turned away from him. "Why didn't you just tell me? You didn't honestly think we could have been more than friends if you don't tell me you're one of the biggest pop stars on this planet?"

"I couldn't, I was sick of everyone following me. I thought someone would understand, that you would understand," he said grabbing Elise's hand. "Can we talk about this somewhere else, please?" Justin looked over his shoulder at the girls who were now making an attempt of crossing the road.

"No, we can't. It's over Justin." Elise was calm when she turned and walked away from him.

Justin just stared after her regretting telling her about his true identity.

"Hey, I came over as soon as you called," Courtney said walking into Elise's room.

Elise was lying on her bed. She looked terrible. Black mascara stains down her cheeks, her hair that was once beautiful now tied up into a messy bun with bits of hair sticking out everywhere.

"Oh, Courtney," said Elise sitting up and trying her best to rub the stains of her cheeks.

"Elise! What's up?" Courtney exclaimed as she leapt onto the bed and cradled Elise's head in her arms. "Don't tell me it's this stupid boy you met the other day."

"You'll regret saying he's stupid-"

"Oh no I won't. I'll go over to his house and kick his a-"

"Justin . . . it was Justin Bieber."

Courtney just sat there in shock. "What do you mean it was Justin Bieber, it couldn't have been. "

"He told me Courtney and plus I think you would realise it was him," Elise stood up and picked up a tissue and started scrubbing her cheeks yet she was having no luck.

"How did you not realise then?" Courtney asked.

"Because he was under some disguise, he said he was tired of girls chasing after him. I wouldn't be surprised, some of the girls were like you."

"Me? Ha, no one could be as crazy as me," Courtney was now lying back on the bed with her head in her hands. "So what did you do?"

"I left him, I told him it was over."

Courtney sat up like a bolt of lightning. "You what?! You left him!"

Elise sighed, "yes, I left him. I wasn't going to go out with someone that I don't really like."

"But you were really pleased when he agreed to meet up, why did you leave him then?"

"Of course I like him, but I can't go out with someone who creates music I dislike and has girls waiting on the streets for him everyday. I couldn't put up with that!"

Courtney stood up looking at Elise in her mirror. "I could put up with it, just think of what everyone at school would say! You'd become popular by the second!"

"I don't want to be popular." Elise said, giving up on her cheeks. She fell back onto her bed. "Courtney, just forget everything that's happened and what I've told you. It's over with him . . . I never want to see him again."
