As Long As You Love Me

Bad boy Justin needs to be taught a lesson. So his teachers come up with a plan and pairs him off with the best behaved girl in school for a school assignment! What happens when sparks fly between them? Will Justin and Selena admit their feelings to each other?

1. The Plan

"Enter, Justin," Mr Kingston called in a bored voice. He was used to Justin being right outside his office. In fact, he didn't even have to wait for the harsh rap of knuckles on the door anymore.

The door opened and an extremely handsome boy, looking as bored as Mr Kingston sounded, came in. "Mr Kingston," he nodded as he sat down in the chair opposite the principal. He leaned back in the chair, the light glinting off his bronze hair. His light brown eyes dancing in the sunlight. He rolled his eyes and yawned loudly causing Kingston to glare at him.

Mr Kingston tightened his fist, obviously frustrated with the boy's manners. He counted to ten in his head and then sighed loudly. "What have you done this time, Justin?"

"For throwing paper balls at one of my classmates' head," Justin answered with a smug grin.

Kingston ran his hand through his nearly balding hair and glanced at the boy wearily. "Throwing paper balls at whom?"

"That Gomez girl." His tone was bitter and cross as he spoke and his perfect face turned into an angry scowl.

"You mean Selena Gomez?" Mr Kington's tone lightening a little. "She is a straight A student and very well-behaved. She has a bright future ahead of her, quite unlike you at this point in time. Instead of saying and doing nasty things to her, you should look up to her and try to learn from her."

Justin scoffed and turned his head towards the window. "Like I would want to learn anything from her."

"Justin. You are in my office. Obviously, you two are not in correct terms with each other, but you both need to learn to respect one another!"

"Like that's going to happen," Justin muttered under his breath, but Principal Kingston heard him loud and clear.

"I mean it!" Kingston slammed his hand on the desk. "I can't punish you anymore because you know that suspension will not work. Justin, as much as I hate to 'give up' on a student, I don't think I have any other choice. Consider this your last warning."

"Last warning?" Justin raised his eyebrow.

"To expulsion," Mr Kingston answered flatly.

Justin rubbed his eyes and stood up, placing his hands in his pockets. "Thanks Principal K, nice talking to you." And with that he sauntered out of the office.

Mr Kingston pinched the bridge of his nose and counted to ten, trying to calm his frustration.

But before he even got to ten, he was interrupted. "Umm...Principal Kingston?"

Mr Kingston's head shot up and saw a tall man in his forties with wide rimmed glasses and wearing a suit.

"Yes, Mr Anderson?" he asked North-ridge High's history teacher.

"Well, I was just walking by and I couldn't help but overhear your conversation with Mr Bieber," Mr Anderson hesitated as if the Principal was going to bite his head off for eavesdropping.

"Yes...and?" Kingston asked suspiciously.

"I think I may have the perfect solution for Mr Bieber. It might take a while for it to work, but I'm sure it will set him straight."

"Well, you have my permission to try it, so...let's hear it then." Mr Kingston took off his glasses and placed his full attention on the teacher standing in front of him.

"I have both Mr Bieber and Miss Gomez in my history class and I am planning on introducing a new assignment to the class."

"Go on..." Mr Kingston having no idea where this conversation was going.

"Well...this project involves partner work, so of one boy and one girl, and they both have to create an essay that is to do with Australian history..."

Kingston interrupted. "But how has this got to do with Justin?"

Mr Anderson held up his hand, "let me finish. I can pair him up with Selena Gomez. She can teach him a lesson or two, I suspect."

"Hm..." said Mr Kingston thoughtfully whilst stoking his chin. "Are you absolutely positive this might work?"

"I'm fairly certain that this may help Justin to see the world differently."

Mr Kingston nodded absent-mindedly and considered it for a few minutes. "Very well. You can go ahead with this assignment and try your hardest to change Justin's behaviour. Don't get your hopes up in case this project doesn't work out..." Kingston trailed off.

"Don't worry, I won't let you down. It's worth a try, isn't it?"

Although Kingston had little faith in his colleague, he had already run out of ideas to make Justin a better person.

"Okay, I'll give you until the assignment is over. If the boy is still the same as he is today, then he's going to be out of this school in a blink of an eye." Kingston concluded with a raised eyebrow.

"Of course. Thank you Sir," Mr Anderson nodded his head gratefully. And with that, he grabbed his briefcase off the floor and strolled out of the office.
