3. Killing Time

Harry's POV

You'd expect Elise and I to be going on elegant dates, but I believe gifts are better. When she came home from school on Monday, I had a gift on her bed: a picture of when we had first met. It was framed in glass and diamonds. On Tuesday, we went out to dinner after her calculus exam. She was very stressed.

It was Wednesday though, and at 2:19, I hear a terrible noise.

I woke up from the sound of vomiting. I reached over and Elise wasn't beside me. Oh Shit, I thought. I immediate got out of bed and ran to the wash room.

I knelt down next to her and rubbed her back. The smell began to make me sick, but I wasn't the victim here. I hoped and prayed she wasn't pregnant. "I am so sorry, babe."

She sat up and flushed the toilet. Her face was olive with a green undertone. Her eyes had large, black circles under them and her beautiful curls weren't tamed. "Well the good news is that I'm on my period." She joked. I sighed with relief. I was too young to be a father. I had too many priorities.

I stood up and held my hand out for her. She took and and looked in the mirror. "Bloody hell, I look like a lion!" She had just thrown up and her biggest concern is that she looks like an animal.

She brushed her hair back and put it in a ponytail why I grabbed her toothbrush, spread toothpaste on it, and handed it to her. "What could have set me off, though?" She asked sticking the toothbrush in her mouth.

"Well I'm sure you don't have the flu. You would be vomiting more." She stuck her tongue out and scrubbed. "It was probably the sushi we had."

Technically yesterday, I took Elise out to eat. It was this sushi restaurant, but I got this like fish salad thing. She indulged her fish and what not. I couldn't help but blame myself for the incident.

"Baby, why don't I make you some tea. You just rest." She sighed but agreed. I made her lay down on the bed and watch the telly.

I quickly, but quietly prepared her tea, trying not to wake Zayn and Perrie. I rushed to the room and handed Elie her tea. "Thanks, love." I smiled and laid down, wrapping my arm around her waist and pulling her close. I kissed the top of her head and leaned my against it. With my other hand, I rubbed her stomach hoping it would help.

"I am so sorry this happened. I didn't expect you to get sick." She shook her head and sipped her tea.

"It's alright, babe. We didn't expect this to happen and it is what it is." I sighed, still guilty of the whole situation, but tried to let it go. "I probably won't go to school, though."

I smiled. "You say that like it's a bad thing." I whispered, kissing her soft spot, behind her ear. She shivered a bit and played it as if it hadn't happened. "Let's go back to sleep, love. It's 2:45." She sighed and nodded, putting her tea down. I laid back and tucked her under my arm. We fell asleep like that.

I woke up with Elise laying her head on my chest. Her hand was on my stomach, just above my bellybutton. I smiled and kissed the top of her head. I reached for my phone. It was 11 in the morning. We slept for nine hours. I think it was time for both of us to get some nosh.

"Baby." I whispered. Nothing. "Elise..." Still nothing. I nudged her a bit and whispered louder. "Love, wake up." My voice lingered. She took a deep breath and fluttered her eye open. She looked up at me and smiled. "Good morning."

"Good morning." She managed to croak out. She kissed me softly and sat up. Her curls were soft and bouncy once again and the circles under her eyes vanished. She always looked beautiful, but seeing her so sick made me feel sick. It was so great to see her better.

"I'll go check if Perrie and Zayn are up. Maybe we can all go to breakfast." She nodded and ran her fingers through her hair.

I walked out of the bedroom and into the living room. Zayn just came out of the shower. He was in a towel. It made me want to pull it down. Perrie was sitting on the couch. I sat next to her. She didn't notice me. I cleared my throat obnoxiously and caught her attention.

"How's Elise doing?"

"She's good. he looks a lot better, thanks." Then it hit me. "Wait, how did you know she wasn't feeling well?"

She gave me a 'are you mad' look. "Who didn't hear her last night. She was hacking like a mad woman. It sounded terrible."

"Well, it's all okay. We wanted to know it you guys were u for some breakfast. The four of us can go out."

The next time I looked at Zayn, he had some jeans on and shirt in his hand. Zayn had seemed to get slimmer and more masculine every time I saw him shirtless. It looked good. "That sounds brillaint. Want to go babe?" Perrie nodded and got up, clapping her hands.

"Let me get dressed."

I walked back to the room where Elise was already changed. She had her hair down and she was putting her makeup on. I hated when she did, but I wasn't going to dictate how she chose to look. I grabbed a shirt and a pair of jeans from the closet.

"It looks like the four of us will be having a lovely breakfast with some good friends." I said. She smiled through the mirror. She finished putting the bit of eyeliner and walked over to me. It was no surprised that she looked perfect. Her bright red lips complemented her olive skin and her light green eyes. Her eyelashes nearly touched her eyebrows. She wore a black Nirvana shirt and jeans with her large high heels. She looked amazing.

"Let's just hope" She said, walking toward me, "I don't get food poisoning." She wrapper her arms around my neck and whispered,"Then I wouldn't be able to kiss you." I smiled and kissed her ever so lovingly, not even caring if her lipstick stained my lips.

"Harry! Let's go!" Perrie yelled. I loved how Perrie was very open with the lads and I. She was like a mother. She did the laundry in the house, made sure we always had our room cleans, made sure we were respectful -not that we aren't-, helped us on our bad days, gave relationship advice, and told us if we were doing badly. She wasn't shy at all.

"Alright, mom!" I yelled back. Elise laughed and pecked me once more before skipping out of the room. I watched her bum as she walked out. Hey, I'm still a guy. I like those things. With Elie, everyday was a good day, but today seemed extra special.

The breakfast house wasn't far, so we walked there. Nevertheless, we were stopped by a few fans for pictures and what not. It wasn't just Zayn and I either. It just so happened that we both were dating women who had a great profession and were recognized for it. Elise was a massive athlete here and Perrie was a woman whose voice sounded like a gospel choir. Zayn and I scored big time.

When we got into the breakfast house, it was quite crowded. Many people followed in after us, requesting to sit close. I made it clear that we did not want to be bothered, so the waiters and waitresses were to calm down the customers. If they didn't they were going to get kicked out. Not only was it not wanted from Perrie, Zayn, Elise and I, but the other customers didn't want to hear the nonsense that is screaming fans.

While we sat down, I went on twitter to update a bit.

"Having a cheeky breakfast with the roommates @zaynmalik @littlemixoffic and @EliseDavies"

After ordering out beverages, we talked a bit about what was going on.

"I'm meeting the girls later on today at the Funky Buddha. Tonight, they're serving free food and drinks for fifteen minutes and when anything reads 'free food' I'm already there."

One thing I knew about Elise: When she drank, she knew her boundaries. She hated coming home hungover. I've never seen her drunk and she's never seen my drunk. That's a rule we've had for a while. I also knew that she loved dancing. When she got down, she got down. There wasn't a doubt in that.

"Are you attending, Zayn?" Elise asked. He shrugged.

"Well, it wouldn't hurt if I did." He took a sip of his water. "I believe Niall, Liam, Lou and El are going, so I don't see why not."

Elie looked at me and pouted her bottom lip. "Let's go, baby! It'll be fun!"

"You've got school tomorrow." I said. As much as I loved Elise at home, she needed to go to school. I want her to have an education. She has the choice to graduate now, but she would have to do all of her studies within a week so I've begged her to say in school. She's got so much now, she would be stressed.

"I'll get up, I promise! We can leave at one. I've got late start tomorrow. It'll work out." I sighed and looked down.

"No more missing school, though." I said to her. She smiled and kissed my cheek.

"I promise." She said, holding her pinky out. I took it and it was a done deal.

Then the food came.
