1. The Perfect Dress

Amber’s point of view

“How about this one?” Eleanor held a dress up to me. It was Cinderella style and lacy and pure white. It was nice but…

“Not my style, sorry,” I apologized. Wow! Since when did I ever need to go wedding dress shopping?! It was a dream come true… and I was to be Mrs. Horan!!! Wow… Amber Jane Horan… it sounded pretty good.

The wedding was still eight months away… but El had dragged me away to go wedding dress shopping. With a groan I had agreed, though inside I was excited. I hadn’t been dress shopping yet and El had an excellent sense of style!

“Hello… how may I help you girls?” an assistant came up to us. She was fairly young and pretty, though short.

“We’re just looking,” El said and I smiled. We didn’t want the public knowing I was looking for a wedding dress, in case they took pictures and Niall would see the dress.

“Okay… wait! Are you Niall Horan’s fiancée?” the lady asked an excited look on her face.

                “Yes.” I smiled with joy.

“I have the perfect dress for you!” she excitedly walked away. El and I looked at each other w8ith confused faces and followed the lady. She led us to the back of the store where there was no windows, and all the dresses were showcased. All the dressed looked expensive, and I wasn’t crazy about spending tonnes of money on a dress. Rather, I would rather that money go towards the venue, decorations or food.

I nearly bumped into the lady as she had stopped, and I hadn’t. “Sorry,” I blushed and backed off a few feet. She had stopped by a dress worn by a mannequin with glass around it. The dress was Cinderella style and it was ivory. There were soo many different details, it was breathtaking!

                “Sooo??” the lady impatiently waited.

“It… it’s lovely!” I exclaimed. “But I don’t want to spend a tonne of money of the dress…” I said, not looking at the lady’s obviously letdown face.

“No problem… there’s a special pricing for you!” the lady cheerfully said.

“Try it on!” El whispered and nudged me. I looked at her and laughed. She was also entranced by the dress.

“Okay… I’ll try it on,” I said with a huge smile on my face. I couldn’t wait to try it on! I told the lady my dress size and she went ahead and got the appropriate size before pushing my into a dressing room. There she helped me put it on. I looked into the full-length mirror the room had. I looked amazing! I gasped, it fit my figure perfectly and the ivory complimented my skin tone.

“Oh, Niall will be flabbergasted!” the lady laughed before saying I looked stunningly beautufil. Wordlessly I nodded and let her put the veil over my head. I felt like a princess! Twirling around, the dress opened up. I laughed, thoroughly enjoying it.

“I have to show El!” I exclaimed as I quickly rushed out of the room and to the waiting area where Eleanor had situated herself reading I fashion magazine.

“You look…. Wow!” El wordlessly said as she saw me come in, she reached out and gave me a hug. “You’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever met,” she whispered in my ear. I blushed and twirled in it more, attracting some attention, but I didn’t mind.

“So… are you going to get it?” the lady said with a huge smile on her face as she walked in, obviously laughing at our reaction to it.

“Yes, yes, YES!” I screeched before getting changed again. Wow! I was really buying a wedding dress!
